Hello everyone, my name is Shen.
When I was in my second year of University, I met a rather adorable girl. She was bubbly and very friendly. She liked to laugh, and she had quite a positive view of life.
To me, she looked so alive.
Her name is Xiu.

I met her when I had to go to another city to receive my educational assistance. Together with other students, we rode a van.
She told me that she was carsick and there was a possibility that she might vomit on the way. I asked her if it was okay to hold back because I would also vomit if she did so. It was pretty selfish of me.
But what amazed me is that even though she looked like her soul was about to flow out of her body and she was about to die from being carsick, she still relentlessly held back from vomiting. I felt guilty and soft-hearted, so when she asked me if she could lean on my shoulder, I allowed her to.
Perhaps she was shy, but I could feel that she wasn't putting all her weight on my shoulders. Her fluffy, wavy hair rested on my neck, but thankfully I wasn't ticklish. To help her relax, I leaned my head on hers.

After that, when we arrived at our destination, she almost vomited her guts out. It made me want to come to her and comfort her. However, the others were rushing us, so I could only regretfully leave.
After all, she has her friends with her. They should be able to take care of her.
That's what I thought.
It was not until she almost collapsed when we were lining up and getting our educational assistance that I knew how wrong my thought was.
Instead of taking care of her, they even rushed her to get better (as if that could be rushed) because they said that the van was leaving.
How unreasonable is it for a hired vehicle to leave one of its passengers, especially when we still need to pay for the fare? At that time, I saw how unreliable her so-called "friends" were.
So, I decided to care for her. I gave her my tumbler so she could drink; I lent her my arm for support because I could see how pale she was and how weak and trembling her knees were.
When we arrived at the parking lot, I saw that the van was still there, unmoved, and some of the students weren't there yet. I wish I could tell Xiu: Look and see how heartless these friends of yours are.
However, Xiu, who was unwell, could only care about vomiting what she had eaten. We could only ask the driver to let her sit near a window and let it remain open for her.

During the ride back, I could see Xiu dozing off by the window from time to time. Because her back was facing my direction, I couldn't check if her complexion looked better, but it seemed that some of her energy went back as she dozed off.
After getting off at the town where my OJT was held, I received a message from Xiu. She thanked me for my care.

From time to time after that, she would react to my Weibo posts or leave a comment on my Moments. I could see her particular interest when I posted about my cat. It seems that she also likes cats.
Whenever I looked at her Moments, if it wasn't about animes, then it was her digital arts. I find it rather incredible because I don't know how to draw (digitally).
