0.9: Operation Turtle

Andy's Point Of View

CC has been a complete and utter wreck. It's all that psycho mom's fault for taking away one if the only things he had left in life.

We were in the middle of a performance and CC kept messing up. I looked back at him to see him silently crying while trying to play his best.

He told me that it reminds him of the time he tried to teach Lyric how to play the drums.

"Okay Lyric, let's go over this again," he said standing behind her while she sat behind the drums. "Hit the cymbals after you hit the bass drum." She did exactly what he said and she had finally gotten it down.

She turned to him with a big smile and hugged him.

"C'mon let's keep practicing."

I stood in the doorway and watched, along with Jinxx, Jake, and Ashley. We all chuckled when she had the concentrated look on her face every time she played.

She finally nailed it and looked at us with a bright smile on her face.

"I did it!! Whoop whoop!!" She jumped up from the seat and did a funny little happy dance. I laughed and she did too.

"You did awesome sweetheart." CC hugged her and she hugged back.

"Thank you so much for teaching me." They held onto each other a little longer until Lyric pulled away.

"It was my honor teaching you."

I sighed sadly at the memory and continued on with the performance. I hated to see him like that, but it's also taken an effect on the others. Ashley doesn't run around the stage as much, neither does Jake or Jinxx.

I mostly just stood in the middle stage and slightly moved around to the music.

I just hope that soon that she'll come through and remember all of us.

The Motionless guys ain't doing too well either. Especially Ricky because they were basically inseparable for the time they knew each other.

I guess it has taken affect on everyone she knew. Even the people she didn't even know that long.

We finished the final song of the night and hurried off the stage. CC brushed past all of us, not even attempting to talk to anyone. He kept his head down, trying to hide the tears that littered his cheeks.

"Okay, we need to figure out a way to get Lyric back. It's killing all of us without her and it is sure as hell murdering CC." Jinxx said, a little angry.

"Definitely, we can get Motionless to help us. They didn't end their tour too long ago so they'll be free to help us." Ashley added in.

"Then it's settled," I pulled my phone from my back pocket. "I'm gonna call them and get them to come here."

I dialled Ricky's number since he'd be the most willing to help us. The phone rang a couple of times before he picked up on the fifth ring.

"Hello?" I heard his raspy voice through the phone.

"Hey Rick, it's Andy. We wanted to ask your and the rest of the band's help with something important."

"Um, sure what is it?"

"Well we wanted to ask your help to find Lyric."

"Yes I'll help. The guys will help, too. Where are you guys? We'll be there as soon as possible."

"We're in Pittsburgh I believe so we shouldn't be too far away from you guys."

"Great, we'll see you in a couple of hours. It's time to get my little turtle back."

He hung up and I put my phone back into my pocket, walking back to the guys.

"They'll be here in a couple of hours. Operation Turtle is a go."

"Okay so what are we gonna do? We have no idea where she is or that crazy lady of a mother." Chris said.

"They couldn't have lived too far away from where we got into the accident. So maybe we can try in that certain area." CC added.

My phone buzzed off in my pocket for like the sixth time but I ignored it once again. It was getting quite annoying.

"You can't be too sure. She would've done anything to get Lyric back, even if that meant crossing the entire United States." Ricky groaned, rubbing the temples of his head.

I was about to say something but my phone went off in my pocket again. Everyone looked at me.

"You might wanna get that. If they keep calling this many times it must be important." I nodded and got up, walking a few feet away from the table and answering the phone.

"Hello?"

"Is this Andy?" I heard an all too familiar voice say.

"Uuh yeah, who's this?"

There was a pause on the line before she answered.

"It's Lyric."

Surprise!! I bet you already knew what was gonna happen but whatever. This was a lame update but at least something happened in it.

Don't worry the next chapter will be back in Lyric's point of view. There will still be a couple of chapters left in the book but don't worry I'll try to make them as long as I possibly can because every time I update they're short chapters.
