Tomioka blissfully rested in a profound sleep, his calm visage illuminated by the gentle blue glow of the ataraxic moon above the world. His breath was slow and calm, like the peaceful cadence of the night. Undisturbed by the sorrow and evil in a world beyond his dreams.

Tengen rose from the sturdy and smooth birch wood chair. Laying on the bed beside Tomioka. The plush mattress and luxuriously soft blanket enveloped Tengen, effectively alleviating any discomfort he had been feeling.

Tengen couldn't help but reflect on their conversations. Tomioka's eyes, while originally captivating like diamonds, now possess a lackluster quality resembling faded gems that have lost their worth. They conveyed a sense of hollowness and desolation. Tengen couldn't shake off the image of sorrow that lingered in those beautiful eyes. Despite appearing composed and content, a glimpse of sadness shone through his facade.

However, his expressions changed when he saw him. His eyes appeared eager and delighted, as if he had been eagerly awaiting his arrival. He was also perplexed when he pleaded him to stay. Despite the ambiguity of the situation, he found it intriguing. Today's encounter with him only deepened the sense of curiosity that he felt toward this mysterious individual.

Tomioka's posture was quite tense the first time they met, and he was slightly shaking when they first met. But Tengen came again, persistent in earning the smaller man's trust.

Tomioka softened up a little and Tengen had gotten a small glimpse under his facade which made him happy but made him wonder what he was hiding away. It made him want to solve the mystery behind his actions and the way he thinks.

The sight of Tomioka's frail body and the poorly fitting clothes given to him by Kocho only emphasized the harsh reality of his prolonged suffering of malnourishment. Making Tengen wonder if he had been surviving on meager rations.

When given food earlier, Tomioka appeared apprehensive and disoriented when he saw Tengen presenting him with a substantial amount of food.

Tengen couldn't help but wonder if he had ever been given a decent portion to satisfy his hunger. However, Tengen was pleased to see that Tomioka made an effort to complete all the food given to him. Yet, Tengen couldn't ignore his concern - such a strong reaction to a standard portion of food was abnormal. Tengen had a strong suspicion that Tomioka had been mistreated, and he was determined to uncover the truth behind it.
