My name is Aurea. I am a princess from Amarna. My father is Pharaoh Ahmes and Queen Khata is my mother. I have a big brother, Amun, the crown prince and he loved me very much.

I've been dead for some 3000 years. I've been lying lifelessly in my sarcophagus this whole time. But today, something interesting happened to me.

I was brought somewhere in my sarcophagus, not knowing anything that was happening outside. I could feel something rather ... unusual, I felt alive. I could hear the sounds coming from outside. I realised that is very stuffy in here, since I've been inside here for thousands of years. I kept shaking and yelling, hoping that someone would be kind enough to free me.

Then I heard a voice, calm, soothing, and ... familiar?

Someone opened my sarcophagus, helped me opening my wrappings, then lent their hand to help me get out of my sarcophagus. I looked around until my eyes landed on someone I've been waiting to see this whole time. A little surprised gasp escaped from my mouth.

I found him.

Surprised, excited, scared, I don't know how I felt at the moment. I've never expected to meet him once again, Ahkmenrah. He also had a surprised look, he didn't move a single muscle. When he had gotten the ability to regain himself, a big smile could be seen on his face. He gave me a really tight, loving hug, like he never wanted to let me go again.

"Aurea, is that really you, my love?" he asked, pulling away from me a little. His hands were still holding my arms.

"This is me, my king", I said, hugging him once more. Tears were racing down from my eyes. I was so happy to find the love of my life again. I looked into his loving eyes I've been longing to see. They sparkled just like the first time I looked into them, the very first time we met.

(Flashback)

My family visited Ahkmenrah's kingdom. That time, Pharaoh Merenkahre, Ahkmenrah's father was my father's best friend. They were so close. When we arrived to his palace, Pharaoh Merenkahre, Queen Shepsheret, and Prince Ahkmenrah welcomed us warmly. Ahkmenrah took my hand and politely kissed it. I gave a little smile to him.

"Pleasure to meet you, princess", he said, bowing to me with respect.

"The pleasure is mine, my prince", I replied his bow.

Ahk's big brother, Kahmunrah wasn't the friendliest person there is. He was just standing there, doing nothing. He seemed like a very cold person. Maybe he was just shy?

I heard that Ahk's parents wanted him to marry me. I've never seen him before, and now here he is, standing in front of me. He looked very handsome and sweet. But is he as sweet and nice in his heart as well?

Ahk's parents asked him to show me around. His palace was very big compared to mine. He asked me to come with him to the palace garden. It was very beautiful. We sat near the mesmerising fountain and we got to know each other until the sun set. We watched the beautiful sunset together as the sky got redder, redder, and darker. So then Ahk brought me to my room before it got completely dark.

"Please come to have a dinner with us tonight, Princess Aurea", he said.

"I will, thank you," I replied politely.

As soon as Ahk left me, I took a bath, got dressed, and then I went to the dining room to have dinner together with Ahk and his parents. I sat next to Ahk and he gave me a sweet smile. Ahk's family and mine were engaged in a conversation. But there was no single word coming out of Kahmunrah's mouth.

Ahk's family agreed to marry Ahk and me next year after we both agreed. We just met that day, but I've heard nice things about him and got to know him, he was a good person. This marriage was also important for our kingdoms' sakes.

I stayed in Ahk's palace for a week. Then we left and went back to my palace. Ahk was acting very nicely to me when I was there. He also treated me very well. On the way back home, I just couldn't stop thinking of him, I was in love.

(End of flashback)

Ahk wiped my tears and then planted a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"My king, I'm so glad I found you after all these time," I said, still couldn't believe in the sight in front of me.

"Aurea, love, thank gods they brought you back to me. I missed you very much," Ahk said.

"I miss you too."

After a little chat, Ahkmenrah showed me around the museum. He introduced me to his friends there. Ahkmenrah and I spent our night together in his exhibit until the sun rised. That means the power that keeps us alive during the night wouldn't work. The tablet of Ahkmenrah only brings us to life when the sun sets.

"Good morning, love, sleep well," Ahkmenrah said as he helped me get into my sarcophagus and carefully closing it.

"Good morning, my king, I love you," I replied.
