Chapter 11 The End?

The next sunset, finally I can open my eyes. My wounds still hurt so badly.

"Aurea! I'm so glad you're still here!" Amun say, hugging me.

"Sacagawea said you're so lucky if you still alive", Ahkmenrah say, with anger in his eyes.

"Yeah. I'm so lucky", I say.

"It's okay, Ahk. I'm still alive", I say, smiling to Ahk.

"But my brother hurt you like that. I can't forgive him. You're right. I shouldn't stopped Atilla for killing him that time".

"And we must get the tablet back from him before it's too late", Amun say.

"I will torture Kahmunrah until the point where he thought that dying is so much nicer then living. I will water my plant with his blood daily. He will have poison in his veins that burns like fire but also keeps him alive in pain!" Ahkmenrah say.

We all look at him.

"Too dark?"

"Waaay too dark. But he deserves that", I reply.

"And where's your necklace, my dear? Why you're not wearing it?", Ahk ask.

"I gave it to Kah", I answer.

"Why? It's our love sign and it can protect you".

"Because he was about to kill my brother. He have the tablet that time, so Amun won't be able to fight him".

"Uhh.. I'll get the tablet from him. Aurea you better stay here. I can't let him hurt you any more", Amun say.

"How will you get the tablet? He's so powerful with it now", I ask.

"But we can't just sit here and do nothing. We must get the tablet immediately", Ahk say.

Ahk and Amun find Kahmunrah. They fight him with the others. Atilla and Laaa fight his soldiers and Ahk fight Kah with Amun. Kah stab Amun's stomach so badly. He faint. So as Ahkmenrah because Kah hit his head hardly. The soldiers and the huns still fighting.

I'm worrying Ahk and my brother. Why it take so long for them to come back here? I have to find them. So I go to the roof, the place where they fight. I see my brother. He lay on the ground, helpless. No, no, no! He can't be dead. No! He's very cold. Tears racing down from my eyes. I hug him. He'll never reply my hug. I better look for Ahk. I must do something. I can't just cry for my brother. Ahk? He's on the ground as well. I come to him. He's still warm. Maybe just hurt a little bit. Ahk hold my necklace on his hand. I take it and I wear it but conceal it so nobody can see I'm wearing it, including Kahmunrah. I decide to fight him now. Because I have my necklace, nothing can hurt me.

"Kah! How dare you! You hurt your brother, and you killed Amun!", I shout.

"Aurea, my dear", he smile. "I can see you recover so quickly. You want me to give you another cut?"

"Nothing can hurt me, snake!", I say.

I fight him with my bare hands. I don't care. He can't hurt me now. Finally I can knock the tablet from him. Now he can't do anything.

"Don't fight me like this, my love. Please", he say.

"You are not my love. You are a filthy murderer!"

Kah suddenly kiss me with his disgusting lips. I try to avoid him but he hold me so hard. That time Ahk already open his eyes. He see Kah kissing me. He go inside, maybe seeking for help. I'm sick of Kah. So I punch him in face. He try to hurt me. But nothing happen to me.

"How do you do that? Do you have the necklace?"

"No", I lie. Afraid he'll take my necklace. "It's the power of love".

I take his knife from him. I bring him to the edge of the roof. I want to knock him so he'll fall from the roof. I stab him with his knife and he fall from the roof. I throw his knife with him. His soldiers are already lose. I take the tablet and bring it inside. On the way inside I meet Ahk.

"Ahk! I get the tablet", I say hugging him.

He don't hug me back, he just take the tablet and go away.

"Ahk! What's wrong?"

He don't reply.

"And Ahk, can you heal my brother with your tablet?" I ask.

"Amun? What happened to him?" he finally answer.

"I don't know. He's so cold and I'm afraid he's.... Dead".

Ahk run to the rooftop. He find Amun there. Yes, he's dead.

"No, sorry. I can't revive a person after the second death", he say.

I cry. I want to be with my brother for the very last time.

"I'm so sorry about your brother, Aurea", he say.

And I better go to return my brother to the underworld.

"No!" I say.

"Why?"

"I'm afraid he might come back. We must burn his body. Then return the ash to the underworld".

"Right. I'll ask Larry to burn him, making sure he won't come back".

Ahk go away. What's wrong with him? He seems don't care about me. Is it because he see Kah kissed me? Oh no. This is a misunderstanding. I must explain this to Ahk.

Larry burn Kah's body and return it to the underworld. And my brother? I don't want to talk about him. I'm too sad. I cry until sunrise. Larry and the others go back to New York. I still can't go back with them. Why? I want to be with my love. And I can't let him go like this, with a big misunderstanding. I'm afraid he won't love me anymore. At least let me explain. Why time pass so fast? I just need a minute more to explain this to Ahk. Just time won't let me do that....
