The ringing was heard in her ears.

Grabbing onto her phone she had put it to her ear; as she was standing on a building wearing her uniform along with Matt who was down on the streets hidden.

"There's no news," Dex gasped from the other end of the line. She closed her eyes and bit her lips to suppress the tears welling up. "Fisk is more concerned with his wedding than revealing the truth to me."

Y/n didn't know that Leah's death was something that was needed so that Dex could betray Fisk by the sound of his voice and the pain in his voice there was anger laced all around it. "She's not at my house, like always- she's been hiding out in my house"

"So he must have her..." Y/n muttered reaching out for any kind of hope that she would be able to find but there was no body and there was always a body. "Pick me up at the corner of the hotel,"

Hanging up the phone she jumped down the building with a string attached to her jumping down on the closest balcony. "I'll give you a sign to come in," She said to Matt knowing he was in the crowd and could hear her.

But the only thing was that he couldn't reply to her only listen to what she had to say. Y/n didn't want to be alone with the thought of Leah being dead so she tried to talk to Matt through waiting for Dex to arrive.

"I know once I see him - I won't be able to control myself Matthew" She gave a warning into the thin air around her. "You know I will be blinded by- well...wrong wording, uhm"

Her phone rang causing her to grab it knowing that she was sending herself down a spiral. "Hey. Hi- Mat-"

"Your okay," Matt said to her, his voice soft inside of the crowd of people that were outside the hotel hopping to see Fisk being married. "If Leah is just hiding out, or if anythin-"

"You don't think- legally looking at it-"

"When did you legally look at things, Y/n?" Matt said she could hear the smirk in his voice when he said that.
