"I'm home, Foggy and Karen are here!" Matt announced throughout the house with Y/n in the kitchen making something to get her mind off Frank kissing her. Even if she didn't want it, it was something that stayed inside of her mind. Guiding himself into the kitchen with Foggy and Karen following along.

Foggy looked around to see the new things being added to the house from Matt's old apartment that they had sold after months of not doing anything with it. "Hey, hey come dinners done," Y/n said to the three of them coming into the kitchen, Matt wrapped his arms around her waist as she kissed him deeply, trying to forget her heartbeat pacing miles per hour.

"Everything okay?" He muttered into her lips as she smiled, humming and kissing the side of his head again as she nodded. "Nodding."

"Oh yeah," She laughed, shaking her head. "I love you."

Karen had walked in with the biggest smile on her face. "It smells amazing, Y/n." She had brightly talked into her face. Y/n had put on a fake smile to match with hers, hoping Frank didn't find a way to contact Karen again, cause if she knew, Matt would surely find out about everything. This felt like she was cheating on him, again; just the thought of Frank being in her life again.

"Truly" Matt kissed her temple, guiding himself to the fridge for a beer.

Foggy joined them in the kitchen after taking off his coat. "So any final words on the Nelson, Murdock and Page Co. sign?"

"We're reaching out to people," Foggy informed her, in the corner of her eye she had watched Matt getting the plates and wanting to get the table ready for everyone. For as long as the two of them had been together, she still questioned the fact if he was blind or not. "Hey, did you know marble wording is so expensive?"

Chuckling to herself a little; "I did." The four of them had gone over to the dining table to eat their food. Y/n had listened in and out of their conversations about work, and anything overall. Remembering what looked to be the teenage girl that Frank was sharing an apartment with, remembering how scared she was at the beginning of everything. Matt quickly noticed the fact that she was inside of her head, with the woman holding onto the stem of her wine glass not going in for a sip of it, just staring off in the distance towards the living area.

This has caused him to go into his head, hearing the sounds of her heart beating faster than it has ever done before. Resting his hand on her leg for some kind of comfort, hearing the pacing slow down ever so slightly. He had squeezed the skin of her leg a little, finally getting her attention. All of the thoughts of Frank seemed to be pushed to the back of her mind the moment her eyes met Matt's, knowing he was trying his best to make it seem like he was looking back at her.

Moving her hand down and placing it on top of his, Matt turned his head back to Karen and Foggy's voice. When dinner was fully finished, Karen, Matt, and Foggy were all out in the living room calming down from the meal that they had just had, with Y/n making a stake with nothing but sides for it. Washing the dishes inside of the sink, her hands were being soaked in that water dripping down from the drain.

Ignoring the sound of the door shutting, she stared at her phone with multiple missed phone calls from Mandai

Gaining her attention to the breathing that was against her neck. The phone seemed to finally turn its light off for her. "Let me do it," Matt muttered, taking off the sunglasses from his face and putting them on the counter, removing himself from behind her.

"No, I'm almost done." Shaking her head and moving the strand of hair out of her face that seemed to be irritating her.

Matt had hummed silently, "Did something happen today?" Asking one more time.
