FRIVOLOUS REASON OF MS. ARSE

Chapter 1: Normal Day

NORMAL DAY

A little girl approach me when I was in the site asking about my profession as she said she wanted to become like me in the future too.

"Sweetheart, It's not easy as you think." I smiled realizing what I have been through to achieve where I am right now.

"I really want to become an architect po. I want to design buildings in the future." I patted her head and we make our sit under the tree nearby. Gladly, even though many buildings are being built here, people are still being considerate to the nature.
I let her sit on my lap as I asked her why she wants to be like one in the future and what drives her on wanting to pursue it. She said she likes drawing and is good at arts which is no different from me who is given a talent in the world of drawing. We are in the middle of our conversation when suddenly, a tricycle stop just infront of us and took her. She didn't even wanted to go but her father says they had ice cream in their house so she immediately rode to their vehicle. We bid our goodbye and she promise to come back again soon.

I don't know why kids likes me so much even though in the first place, I can't find myself to like them, only I reciprocate them with kindness. That's probably the reason why I'm still a certified 'tita' right now as my cousins and their childs used to tease me but little did they know, I don't regret any of that because I choose to be this way and I am happy of it.

I'm in Laguna right now because a client wanted to build a commercial establishment and I am being hired as the architect at the same time to supervised the whole construction.
I checked my wristwatch and it's already 9 in the morning. The construction workers are already working at the second storey while I am at the ground floor, obviously observing them.

I think that as an architect, this is one of the biggest project I am working on right now and I am really proud of it. It's because one year after I passed my Architecture Licensure Examination, someone hired me to design a residential house.

The site is a Corner-Through Lot with a Total Lot Area of 300 sq. meters. I took advantage of the type of lot provided since it is a commercial establishment and made sure that the design should welcome customers and not to make them go away. I also critically choose a color that suits the best for the structure of the building. I am also beyond glad that the Engineers and I agreed to the terms and conditions of the building being erected. Just a mere fight on the columns which is mostly an architect like me don't consider because it sometimes ruin the overall design of the building. Nevertheless, we agreed on the other stuff that's why in just a month or two, we already made it under construction. We are also beyond thankful that the client is understanding and considers our ideas and concepts and never really doubted us since the beginning.

I spotted Engr.Diaz talking to one of the construction workers whom asking a question about a certain thing. I stand still as I watched them talked and I can't help myself but to admire how she maintain professionalism everytime she talks to someone, either a professional like her or an ordinary person like the one she's in a conversation right now.
She catched me looking at her and she smiled while saying her goodbye to one of the workers and walks towards me.

"Hi Arch. How's life of being a full-time site architect?. " She said with a teased in her voice.

"Doing fine Engr. Infact, I almost searched the whole store last time looking for a sunscreen that lasts long." I replied and chuckled.
She laughed at it. The way she laughed is admirable too. Not too loud but soft enough when it entered my ears.

"Silly you. You should have ask me to come too, I almost ran out because I've been here every single day." It's true, most of the time, when i'm at my office because of accomplishing designs for my other clients, she stays here and supervised the whole construction instead. That's why I knew how happy she is when she knew I was going to site too.
