It had been a week since Sutton had been home and everyday with Bryan was amazing. She wanted so badly to propose the idea of him spending some time with her in New York but she couldn't find the right words without putting a damper on the fun they were having together. She was currently in the kitchen looking at the backyard as Bryan was standing around the bonfire and drinking beer with everyone else with a huge smile on his face. "You both look really happy." She turned to see Jace standing in the door way. "For once I really am." She said with a smile and handed him a bowl of chilli with sweet cornbread. "Let's get you guys fed before Frankie has a permanent frown on his face." She handed Jace the tray while she carried the other things for them to eat. "Hey beautiful." Bryan said as he wrapped an arm around her neck and pecked her lips. "Hey handsome." She replied with a smile and handed him his food before taking a seat on one of the logs. "So bean, how long before you head back to the big apple?" Nyla asked. She smiled and chuckled nervously. Guess the topic was brought up for her. "I only have a week left before I have to go back because I have a lot of business to handle, like finding pop up locations for the summer and workers. I was hoping Bryan here would be up for a little traveling." She said as she looked to see his face neutral during the whole conversation. "It sounds like fun. B you should go." Jace said looking directly at him. Bryan took a swig of beer before responding. "Yeah. Maybe." Sutton was skeptical but appreciated Jace being on her side. "Where are the locations?" Nyla. Sutton smiled weakly. "L.A., New York, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, New Orleans, Biloxi, Mobile and Greenfield." She named of softly. Bryan had turned a good opportunity into something sour. "That's amazing. I'll help with whatever you need." Nyla offered and Sutton thanked her. "I'll be back." She told them taking the tray of dishes in the house to load the dish washer. She continued to look out the back window and watched as her friends smiled, laughed and joked upon hearing foot steps. "I'm in no mood to talk." She said. "As your best friend it's my duty to check on you when you have such a sad face." She chuckled. "I'm fine Chance. Honest. It's just a simple yes or no. Not a life decision." She told him as she continued with dessert. "It is. But it's also between the two of you. Just. Just don't get yourself hurt again." He told her before kissing her head and disappearing back outside. Soon she heard more feet behind her and she knew those steps better than anybody. She continued what she was doing like she didn't know he was there. "It was all of a sudden." He told her. She sighed. "It was still an invitation." She told him still not looking at him. "I can't just pick up and leave. I'm not like you." He mumbled the last part. She stopped what she was doing. "When are you going to stop punishing me for something you caused? Can't you accept the fact that I'm here. I gave up everything for what was right. I chose you. I deserve some credit for that." She told him and touched the hot skillet. "Ssh ahh shit." She grabbed her hand and rushed to the sink and ran cold water. He rushed after her. "Don't you touch me. This is your fault. Why do you always have to be so selfish Bryan? I'm asking no I'm practically begging you to come with me. I'm not settling, it's not permanent but it could be something. We could find something exactly for us outside of New York and Greenfield. All I'm asking is that you take a chance on us like I did. Nothing would make me happier. Nothing would mean more to me than to have you with me." She told him as he held the cold compact to it then rubbed burn cooling gel on it with a cotton swab. "Just hold still." He said while she squirmed. "It freaking hurts." She said then hitting him because he poked her hand. "I don't want you to disappear on me again." He told her as he wrapped her hand. "I'm not disappearing. I'm asking you to travel with me like we used to talk about as kids." She said with hope but it quickly diminished after seeing his face. She stood and walked past him without speaking another word. He grabbed her arm making her look back at him. "Okay." He told her. She raised an eyebrow. He sighed. "Okay I'll go with you." Sutton screamed and jumped on him unknowingly making them land on the floor. "I love you so so much." She told him as she attacked him with kisses. Upon hearing the loud thud everyone popped their heads in. "It's nice to see you two made up." Chance said before taking a sip of beer. "He going and you are too so can it O'Connor." She said as they stood. "Snacks ready." She told them as she handed them bowls of s'mores dip with Graham crackers and homemade cookies and cream bars. "Where'd you learn to make this?" Kaleb asked her with a mouth full of food. "That would be yours truly over here. Bryan taught me the s'mores dip a while back because I have a habit of eating s'mores and drinking coco before bed when I'm in a weird mood or just hungry for something simple. And the Oreo bark was a mishap with a icing experiment with ol Chef Boy Ar Chance over here." They all chuckled. Sutton was happy. It was home that she really needed.
"We don't want it directly next to all the other clothing stores so do you think up can turn the old bank into a mini mall in a matter of 2 weeks and have it up and ready that soon?" Sutton asked at the site of the old bank in town. Julie, Leo, Linda and Nyla all looked around the space while the contractors checked out the place. "Give us a week tops. Most of this can be easily restored but it'll take a week to remodel and add things from the list." She hugged him. "Thank you so much Tommy. I know it's all last minute but I promise it'll be worth it." She said before walking out. "Nyla, Julie and Leo are gonna be traveling with me a lot. Do you think you and my mom can run this store and I'll be back before the grand opening?" Nyla hugged her. "You're in good hands go. I know the guys are waiting on you and you have a flight to catch. I'll keep you updated." She promised. "Everything good?" Bryan asked once she met him at the truck. She pecked his lips and nodded. "My mom and Nyla are gonna run things here. While we go through a painful process in other locations." She said dramatically. "Airport?" He asked with a smirk. "Airport." She said dryly. Once they finally made it to the airport in Mobile it was close time for their flight. After the long process they finally boarded the plane and went up to first class where they had cubes for each passenger. They all got settled until they were able to move around and Sutton decided to check on Bryan. He was watching a movie and in deep concentration until he saw her. He paused it and lifted the blanket inviting her in. She closed the cubicle and laid with him, instantly getting comfortable. "Thank you for coming with me." She told him as they looked in each other's eyes. "L.A. huh?" He asked with a smile. She chuckled. "I have a place out there on the beach." He chuckled. "It was always hard time get you off the beach as a kid. You're teen years were awful even tho you still fill out a bikini as nicely as you did then." They started laughing. "Perv." She told him once the laughing died down only for them to start laughing again. After falling asleep for a few hours the announcement came on for everyone to get back in their seats and buckle up for landing. "Ugh I missed L.A. weather." Julie said as we climbed into the truck and the driver shut the door. "L.A. huh?" Chance said making Julie blush. Once they arrived at the house she let everyone in and thanked her usual driver. "Rooms are upstairs to your right. The kitchen is through there. The den is down there. The living room is strictly decoration, the den and back living room is where we watch tv and chill. Through there is the back patio with a Jacuzzi and pool, right down that path leads to the beach. Everything is stocked. Make yourselves at home. I'll be back." Sutton made her way upstairs and into the master bedroom knowing he was in there. "I thought that was your car I saw on the far end of the driveway." She said as she sat her bag down on the bed. "Wasn't expecting you here for a few days. Was trying to be gone when you got back." He told her as he threw more things into the box. "Don't apologize Sutton." He told her before she spoke. "Well I don't exactly know what else to say here. I mean I'm glad you're okay and I'm still very proud of you." He looked at her and smiled. "I'm proud of you too kiddo." He told her. "This was the last box. We'll catch up when you get back to New York." He told her. He kissed the side of her head. "Have a nice day Sutton." He said softly. "You too Justin." She replied once he looked back. She watched him leave them put her sights on Julie and Chance who were playing on the bench. "He had a key?" She heard Bryan ask. She held it up. "Came to get his stuff and whatever he didn't get I'll give back." She said walking around the room removing picture of the two. Bryan noticed all of the pictures of them up. "Hated me huh?" He asked with a chuckle and Sutton turns around to see him holding a picture of them kissing as kids. "I never said I didn't miss you Bryan." Sutton removed the pictures from the frame and placed them in a photo box before putting new ones that she had printed in the frame and putting them where they came from. "How'd you always manage to get a picture during our rare moments. "Vice. He had this thing for spontaneous photography and I pay him for any pictures he has of us." Bryan told her. Sutton chuckled. "Genius." He chuckled. "What do you see for us?" She asked with a smirk as she looked out the window. "A family, happiness, stability between us. Kids. About 4 kids since we both were only kids." Sutton giggled. "Any life like that with you sounds perfect." She told him as he wrapped his arms around her. "Maybe we should start trying." He whispered to her. She moaned as he kissed her skin gently. "Sutton darling. I know you're here! You better not be moping over another failed marriage attempt." They heard. She groaned and walked to the balcony of the stairs overlooking the front. "Ricoh are you serious right now?" She heard Leo say. "It's fine Leo. Afternoon Ricoh. How are you?" She asked with a smirk. "Better now that I see you still have color in your face." He told her. "Everything okay babe?" Bryan asked coming to the balcony in swim trunks that hung low. Sutton was already in a mint green bikini and a white sheer cover up robe that was open showing off her ruined body. "Everything's fine." She said before sharing a heated kiss. "I'll be in the room in just a sec." She told him and she was serious. "Nice rebound." He commented. "Thanks. I'll pass the compliment. My husband loves them." His eyebrow raised. "I'll tell Bryan you said hello." She said before going to tend to their needs.
