•Chapter 2-Unfortunate Weather•

A couple weeks later, a hashira Meeting was called. It wasn't anything serious, it was just a quick update. After the master had dismissed the pillars, it started to rain. The other pillars managed to make it home before they got soaked, but the butterfly mansion was the farthest away from the masters estate, so Shinobu had to return home soaked. That is, if it wasn't for something looming over her head suddenly. Shinobu hasn't even left the masters estate yet, but looked over and saw Giyuu holding his haori over Shinobus head like an umbrella, leaving him to stand out in the rain. "My my Tomioka-san, Are you trying to block me from the rain?" Shinobu asked, looking at Giyuu with slight interest. "I'd rather get wet than have you get soaked, I know how far the butterfly mansion is from here." He replied. "Well Tomioka-San, it would be rude of me to just have you stand out in the rain while I use your haori as an umbrella, wouldn't it! Come here!" Shinobu interjected, pulling Giyuu down and putting his haori over both their heads. "There! Now we both don't have to get wet!" Shinobu said, turning her head to look at Giyuu, smiling softly as she began to drag him with her. Giyuus cheeks felt hot as he felt Shinobus small and delicate hands place a soft and gentle grip on his own as she walked down the road to the butterfly mansion. "So Tomioka-San, since we're walking together, how have you been since I saw you last! The food you brought me was very good, and I thank you again!" Shinobu said, turning her head slightly at Giyuu. "Don't mention it...and I've been doing fine." Giyuu replied, hoping Shinobu didn't notice the tiny blush on his cheeks. "That's good to hear! And I'm glad you're actually starting to respond to me now! Are you perhaps coming out of your shell? I'm happy you've decided to socialize more!" Shinobu stated. "Mhm." Giyuu replied. The pair kept walking until they reached the butterfly mansion, in which Shinobu stepped out from under Giyuus haori and went to the door. "Thank you Tomioka-san! And don't forget to come to your checkup this weekend!" Shinobu said, opening the door. "I won't forget." Giyuu said. "If you say so! Bye Tomioka-San!" Shinobu closed the door. "Bye Kocho..." Giyuu Said, looking at the hand Shinobu had held. He clenched his fist softly and made a small smile before heading back to his estate. Inside the butterfly mansion, after Shinobu had closed the door, she put her back against the door and sighed. "Kanae Nee-San...is this what you meant by me eventually going to be a normal girl?" Shinobu asked herself, wrapping her haori around her. "Is this what you meant? Catching feelings?" "Miss Shinobu...are you alright?" Aoi asked, standing in the door frame of the kitchen. "Ah! Aoi! Yes I am quite alright! Thank you for asking! I shall be off to my quarters now!" Shinobu replied, walking past Aoi and giving her a small head Pat before heading to her room. "Kanao-san, is Shinobu-sama acting weird to you?" Aoi asked, turning around to face her sister. "Yes...she seems to be acting weird. A couple of weeks ago, the water pillar went into her office briefly, and after he left Master seemed in lighter spirits...I asked her about it but I got too nervous to continue anything..." Kanao replied. "I saw the water pillar outside with Shinobu just before she came in! I think they walked here together!" Said Kiyo, one of the young girls. "Yes, I think she was holding his hand!!!" Naho interjected. "Mhm! And they had the water pillars haori on top of them, to shield them from the rain I think!" Sumi added on. "Is Shinobu dating the water pillar?" Aoi asked. "No...she said she was just friends with him when I asked her about it in her office...maybe she likes him?" Kanao suggested. "Maybe...but if she did like him that would be so cute!" Naho said. "Yeah! Do you think the water pillar likes her too?" Sumi asked. "Maybe! Let's talk with Tanjiro and everyone else to see if it's true!!!" Kiyo said. "Great idea Kiyo! Maybe let's devise a plan with them to see if we can get them to act romantic around each other!" Aoi exclaimed. "Mhm! Thats a Good Plan!" Kanao added. The girls then began their conspiracies on what to do next.
