"YOU LET HER GO!?" "Y-yes, I-I'm... sorry..." "SORRY!? YOU JUST LET OUR ONLY HOPE OF SURVIVAL WALK AWAY, AND ALL YOU CAN SAY IS SORRY!?"

To say that Webpaw was upset that Brighthawk hadn't joined was an understatement.

"Webpaw," warned Blazepaw, glancing at Lilacpaw, concerned. She was shaking, and trying her absolute hardest not to cry. Webpaw glared at Lilacpaw, then stalked off, muttering under her breath. Blazepaw rolled her eyes, and then tried to comfort her less hotheaded sister.

"It's not your fault," she assured her. "It's not like you could hold Brighthawk hostage or something." Lilacpaw smiled, then quickly frowned again. "B-but there must be something I could've done. Something you or Webpaw would've done if either of you were there." "What, lie to her about our... situation? No, you tried your best, and probably convinced her more than me or Webpaw could have," said Blazepaw.

After that, Lilacpaw slowly started to cheer up again, and by the time the sun had set, she was completely over what had happened, although Webpaw refusing to talk to her still dampened her good mood.

"Stormkit, it's storming!" cried Blazekit gleefully. Stormkit was too busy staring out of the ship the kits were in to answer. When he finally did speak, however, the other kits immediately knew something was wrong.

"Th- there's not supposed to be so much water... is there?" he asked, his voice trembling. "What do you mean, 'so much water?'" questioned Webkit incredulously. She sat up and padded over to the edge next to her little friend, expecting to see anything. Anything, that is, except for what she saw.

The camp was completely flooded, so much so that she couldn't even see the rocks behind the nursery. The same rocks that she thought were supposed to stop water from getting into camp in case this happened.

But unlike usual, she didn't open her mouth in shock, and she didn't fall down, and she didn't almost die. Instead, she realized that there were three figures in the water. She couldn't make out who they were, but she watched, even more horrified, as they sank under the churning waves.

"We have to help them!" she cried. She turned to see what the other kits thought, but they were silent, eyes open wide in shock.

Even more concerning, the only ones there were Stormkit and Lilackit. Where did Hootkit, Garlickit, and Blazekit go? she thought, starting to panic. "Webpaw!" came a familiar voice. "Who's talking to me?" asked Webkit, glancing around in confusion. "Webpaw! Wake up!"
