CHAPTER TWO

NOWADAYS
Tobey and I came back to Montania that same day , we arrived around midnight, most of the town were asleep, that day I slept at Tobey's , I couldn't come back home.
Tobey was living alone so he gave me his room and he went to the living room.
« I can stay with you if you want to »
« No , I need to be alone »
« Ok...Tay ?»
« Mmh? »
« You know you're not obliged to do that all alone , im here okay ? »
« Ok »
«of course, call me if you need anything ».
He turned off the light and closed the door , now that im alone I can cry again, I needed to, I felt like a piece of my heart was removed, Tony , the most important person in my life, my only family, he died, it doesn't seem real or fair to say it.

4AM
« GET REVENGE »
It was the only thing I could think about , to kill everyone , to kill Carlos, he was sure gonna pay for it. I turned on the night light and took my notebook and began to write everything I knew about the scafs
I finally slept around five , when I woke up , it smelled crepes that Tobey probably made . I didn't leave the bed right away , I was staring at the ceiling for minutes remembering that scene when he was hitting Tony , this man had committed the mistake of his life.
Tobey knocked at the door , I wiped my tears and told him to come in.
« Hey... »
«...hey. »
« You alright ? »
« a little better »
« I don't know about you but for me crepes makes me happy so easily »
« Put them here I will eat them later im not really hungry »
« Ok...I called Manny as you told me to and...this morning we...you know buried him , the funeral are tomorrow »
« good , well tell everyone that's it's great that they had time to come to the funeral, I won't be here tomorrow »
« What? »
« I will be on my way to find the idiots who killed him »
« Tay , don't you think that it's too dangerous to go »
« So what you want me to stand there and look stupid , im not letting this guy to live his life without paying for what he had done »
« Im coming with you »
« You don't have to »
« I know but If you go , I go easy as that »
« Well good »
« Good » he smiled at me with his special smile. Tobey was the best person I know in Montania besides Tony , he had a dark past before he arrived in Montania, but he always found a way to stay positive , everyone loved him, when Tony enrolled me in school he was the first person to come and talk to me , we've been friends since then,
« So what's the plan ? »
« go to Chicago kill them come back »
« When are we going? »
« I just need to go home grab some stuff and we can go »
My hands were shaking as I was going to open the door. Tobey took me from my hand and said « hey you don't have to do that I can go grab you what you want »
« No needs Im going »
I stepped in the house and felt a strange feeling in me , like a pain in my chest . I went upstairs to his room where I found a box , I took the gun from the box and hided it in my backpack. I went to his closet and took one of his jacket. In my room , I changed my clothes, took the emergency box and my knife. I was leaving the house when I noticed a letter on the table in the kitchen. I opened it , it was from Tony I knew it because of his signature.

I knew that this day would come earlier than I expected. I wish I could tell you all this words by myself but fate stepped in.
Im looking at you right now and I never been this proud of you . Now that Im gone , I want you to be better than me , unfortunately we're living in a cruel world , but I want you to keep fighting for it , for the people you love. Keep going for them, cause that's what we do for the people we love , remember it
They said time heals all wounds but it wasn't time , it was you , you are my special girl, my only daughter, im glad we met on that shitty road . When you were fifteen and your mother came to took you , I was so scared that you'd choose her , I didn't want to loose you .
I know you probably will kill the men who killed me but don't, they are too dangerous. Stay in Montania , I left money in my closet just incase , try to eat more vegetables as I always use to tell you. And don't break Tobey's heart , he cares about you
