The shadow of retribution

CHAPTER TEN

ONE YEAR AGO
It was one of those night were Montania organised a country party , I never wanted to go but I had no choice. My back was at the bar , I was watching everyone dancing.
« Hey Jackie , don't you have anything stronger for me? »
« On my way » he came back with a bottle of wine.
« Wine seriously? »
« Trust me » he gave ma a cup and I drank it.
« Oh, that's something give me another one »
« Told you »
A song started, My favourite one , Tobey came to me and said « would you give me this dance? »
I laughed and accepted.
« I hate those things » he admitted
« Tell me about it » I sighed
We were surrounded by other people dancing and singing along to the song. Tobey took both my hand and started swaying a little. I moved along with him. He lifted one of his hands, still holding mine, twirling me in a circle. I grin a bit.
« Have you seen Tony? He never miss those kind of night » I asked
« I saw him leaving earlier, I bet he's at home, what's wrong with you two? »
Tony and I had a fight two days ago .
« I got mad cause he was being overprotective, he's scared over dumb stuff , he said that he saw Scafs coming around »
« Scafs? They never came here before »
« yeah I know , besides that, he's being weird those days, he's always overthinking, i don't get it why »
Tobey twirls me around a few more times and when the song stops, he bows. I follow his movements and we laughed . I looked at the clock, it was past midnight .
« Im gonna go home »
« Already ? »
« I had a long day and nothing can beat a good night of sleep »
« Okay good night »
I walked through the street it was late in the night , it was full moon , the air was barely cold, I walked through the streets and past the food centre , the school, the library thinking about the book that I didn't brought back . I saw Marine , I wanted to say hello, but she was  talking to someone I didn't know.
I went home , I was about to put the key on the door when I noticed it was open , someone broke it . I was sure it wasn't Tony , he never forget his keys, I walked through the hallway the knife on my hand.
« Tony? »no answer « Who's here? » still nothing. I heard something from his room . I went upstairs and opened the half of the door, I saw Tony with tape in his mouth, his hands behind his back , blood coming from his nose and eyebrows. Someone was there too , I didn't hear what he was murmuring, that's when he pointed his knife to Tony's neck , he removed the tape .
« Where is it? »
« It's not in here you fucking idiot, how long Im gonna repeat this »
I waited for the best moment to come , I went back downstairs and brought a gun then I came to the room.
« Put down your knife » I said while pointing my gun on him « I said put that down I don't have your time » he obeyed then he started laughing « little girl is trying to save her dad I see »
« Taylor go away , don't stay here it's too  dangerous » Tony urged me. I sat on the ground and unhooked Tony , still pointing my gun.
« Why are you here?. »
« Are you trying to scare me miss TayTay »
« I didn't ask for your opinion , answer »
He started laughing again
« Oh I get it now , she doesn't know, miss Taylor, I think you should point your gun to Tony and not me »
« I won't hesitate using it, answer or I fucking shoot »
When I hear someone coming , I get behind the door. I looked at the man , it's his friend who was behind that door , suddenly someone shot but it didn't hit me , I looked back to the man who didn't drop. he stayed up, looking at his hand. It was covered by blood. He dropped to his knees. Tony  got  up and another shot gets fired, I squeal but Tony  doesn't get hit. He hided behind the bed. I went to Tony . He was urged
« Shit » he looked at me then to the man who entered the room then at me again « Sorry kiddo »
He got up and raised his hands « Stop!! Take me, just don't hurt her , I will show you what are you searching for , just let her go » another guy came and took me from my hands.
« Get off me!! Tony!! What are you doing!!! Get the fuck out of me!!! Let him go!! If something happen to him im gonna kill all of you!! Let him go you idiots!! Tony !!! » the guy took me outside and hit me on the head , I saw everything black and the last thing I remembered was Tobey and Marine trying to wake me up .
