Hwa Yi's POV:
We arrived just in time to see the old rats (merchants) having a feast. What fools, celebrating for what? Our great sect's in a lot of trouble right now. I looked at Cheongmyeong who was watching one of them walking out looking drunk. He signalled me to follow with his hand and jumped down to intercept him when he walked closer.
"What a great night! Haha, even the moon's smiling down on me...Huh? There's no moon? Hmph, must be the end of the month. I should've taken the main street home on a night like this...huh?" The drunk dude said groggily as if just waking up from a coma.
"Stop right there." Cheongmyeong stated calmly while putting his hands on his hips. Where was I might you ask? Well, I was just laying down in a tree nearby. I mean, he can handle this right? It's just one drunk man.
"Let me guess, you're here to rob me?" the drunk man said. What a drag. Just get on with it already or I'm going to punch him first and then get the information out of him.
"I'm not interested in your money. I'll let you go unharmed if you answer some questions." Myeong said completely relaxed.
"Huh? Not that I'm normally against helping confused little boys, but you're out of luck I'm afraid." Ugh, when is he going to just give him a nice old beating? I'm itching to let off some steam. "Me and my friends have to get going, you see. They're just too worried about me wandering the streets at night." the old dumb guy said just as 6 other swordsmen jumped out from the surroundings. Oh well, even more people to have fun with!
"What's your order, sir? Should we kill him?"
"No, I should hear him out at least. Just make sure he can still talk when you're done." The dude said just as I jumped out of the tree and landed next to Myeong. The merchant turned around just as I got ready to beat the crap out of all these pests.
"God, it's been so long since I've done this! We should do this again someday." I said to Cheongmyeong while smiling under my mask just as all 6 of them charged.
SLAM THUMP SNAP CRACK BANG-
"I told you to make sure he could still talk!" The old merchant said as he turned around to see all of them lying down on the floor looking like ragdolls. The dude Myeong was holding by the scruff was practically foaming from the mouth. This kid shows no mercy unlike me! At least the ones I took out still have their pride intact by lying down normally on the floor. The ones he took are all foaming by the mouth and in weird positions. Look at that one with his butt in the air pffft-
"I just wanted to use my words, but some people aren't down for a polite chat." He said looking smug as he threw the body on the floor with a plop. I just decided to take one their cool umbrella hats and was investigating it. "Letting you go unharmed was my previous offer, but you tried to beat me up, so now it's my turn. Don't worry, you'll still be able to talk once I'm through with you." Was the last thing I heard him say before he started to beat him up.
I never knew he was planning not to harm him. Damn. I thought as I layed down for a nap on the floor using one of the unconscious dudes on the floor as a pillow.
"Make sure to not make the injuries visible when he wakes up tomorrow!" I commented sarcastically as I knew he was going to do quite the opposite. When I woke up about a few hours later, I found myself being piggy back rided back to the sect. Why didn't he wake me up? I leaned on his shoulder as it felt nice. His heartbeat was resonating with mine through my chest. I don't want this to ever end like before...I'm going to protect it.
"So, what happened?" I said lazily to his ear.
"Well, this other dude was trying to kill you while you were sleeping so I just got rid of him. Called himself Jeongbin or something. I used the double blossom blade on him which made the other dude believe that I was from Zhongnan! He didn't figure out my identity but still, kinda stings. Oh! I also gained some intel on the sect's current state."
