Yi Hwa's POV:
"Did anything happen while I was gone?" Cheongmyeong said to the two senior brothers waiting for us.
"Junior brother and Hwa!" Geol said happily. Sounded like he's relieved either for me or for him. Maybe both??
"Heyo! How have you all been!" I cheerfully said as I hooked my arms around their shoulders leading them to Cheongmyeong's room. I could feel his glare sending shivers down my spine. What did I do wrong?-
"We should be asking you that. What happened?" Jong Yoon asked nervously, afraid to get another beating after seeing Myeongs mood. I covered my face with my hands as he changed back to his uniform that was left in his room scattered.
I replied, still looking away. "It was pretty fun since we got to beat up some-"
"WHAT SHE MEANS IS- ehem. What she means is that we had a great time. They even gave us pocket money!" Myeong said while giving me a glare. I didn't see it as I was still covering my face. "Why are you still hiding?" He said after changing. I opened my eyes to see an innocent yet confused look on his face. I sighed audibly. This kid is never going to learn.
"What's the point of telling you..." I said as I walked out to change in my room. When I finished changing, I saw the two brothers looking a little depressed as they left the room. I entered Myeong's room to see him lying down on the bed deep in thought.
"So what did you say to make them have that depressed face?" I said as I shut the door behind me.
He rolled around with his back facing me as I sat beside him. "They wanted me to train with them but I have things to do." he replied bluntly. I could tell that something was bothering him.
"Like what?" I asked curious.
"Aren't you going to train with the others?" He asked me to turn around to face me.
"Well... no. Now tell me, you got me curious!!" I said excitedly lying down on my stomach facing him too.
"Well, first I need to find evidence that the businesses originally belonged to Mount Hua but.. Where could I find something like that?" I closed my eyes thinking like him. All of a sudden he spring up like a bell ringed in his head.
"So, mind spilling the beans?"
"Oh- right. I remember seeing brother Jangmun writing in a ledger a few times. He had a few account books that he'd hide whenever I came by. And that made me think that there were definitely more that he stored somewhere else! Since no way all of Mount Hua's businesses could fit into just a few ledgers. That means there must be a secret vault that only the sect leader can access even though I've only heard a few rumors about something like that..."
"Well, if that's the case, the entrance must be somewhere in the sect leader's residence. I mean, it hasn't changed since back then which means it has to be somewhere close right? Somewhere where even the keen-eyed martial artists of Mount Hua couldn't find. Even the little curious ones like you." I ended, pinching his cheeks.
"Rwigh (right)." he mumbled as I kept playing with his chubby cheeks. He pulled my hands down. "So, the hill behind the sect leader's residence would be a perfect spot! It's gotta be underground since there's no way that anyone would notice it there..!" He said standing up lifting me up too. He grabbed two random pickaxes by the wall and walked towards the window giving me a mischievous smile before leaping out the window.
"WAIT UP MYEONG!" I hollered before leaping out the window after him. I just know he's going to cause some trouble...Sorry sect leader Jangmun, he's uncontrollable.
We have been using our Qi to penetrate the earth until we hit a large open chamber nonstop for god knows how long!
"DAMMIT, I'M SPENT!" Myeong said as he dropped to the ground groaning. Sweat beads rolled down my face, fatigue threatening to take over.
