Chapter 28:
Narrative POV:
There was no use in hiding it anymore.
At this point, the baby bump was almost as big as her.
Or so Taylor teased.
Hayley claim to not even see her feet at this point.
5 months were beginning to take a toll on their life.
They had no choice but to clear out one of the guest rooms and begin to fill it with baby furniture.
Both of them deciding that maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea to paint until they knew what the sex of the baby was.
And so they were about to find out any minute.
Their families decided to throw them a "sex reveal" party.
Almost everyone they knew were at their house wearing either a blue or pink ribbon in representation of what they believed the baby was going to be.
Hayley happily rubbed her tummy as she began to talk among the guest.
A blue ribbon on her shirt.
"So you want a boy?" her sister asks.
Hayley smiles, "not that I prefer one over the other, but I really want a little Taylor just bouncing around the house in all black attire."
Erica smiled. "and drinking coffee from his sippy cup."
They laughed.
"Yeah I can see another York boy in the family." Justin cuts in.
Hayley took a sip of water. "Why do you say that?" She asks as takes a piece of fruit from his plate.
Living in a tour bus with her has already have him used to her stealing off his plate.
He shrugs. "I don't know man. I just can imagine Taylor taking him to football games and playing basketball with him."
"Well I could do that with a girl as well." Taylor comes and wraps his arm around Hayley's shoulder.
A pink ribbon attached on his shirt.
Hayley rolls her eyes.
They've had this discussion several times.
Hayley thinks it's a boy, Taylor on the other hand strongly believes it's a girl.
"Tell you what." Hayley looks up to see Taylor's eyes. "If it's a boy, I name him. If it's a girl, then you pick the name."
Taylor bit his lip.
"Deal." He extended his hand out, and they shake on it.
Justin and Erica slightly laughing at how silly they've gotten.
"You know if it's a girl we have to paint the room pink, right?" Hayley asks.
Taylor rubs the back of his neck.
"Aw man," he smiles softly, "Can't we paint it some other color?"
"Like what?" She crosses her hands and rests them over her baby bump.
Taylor always loved when she did that.
He smiled wide and kissed her nose.
"I don't know maybe like a red or something cool."
Hayley bites down on her lip and nods.
"Well it won't even matter when they tell us we're having a boy."
Taylor chuckles. "Oh it's on Williams." He bops her nose.
She scrunches her face and blushes slightly.
She rose on her tippy toes to plant a small kiss on his lips when Mama York and Mama Williams call them both over.
They were standing under a sheet of balloons.
"We are about to pull the rope. And either pink or blue balloons are going to fall on you two."
Hayley looked up at Taylor excited.
He smiled down at her. Ecstatic.
"One...." The crowd roared.
"Two....
"Three...."
The rope was pulled.
Their hearts beating at a million mile rate.
The balloons and streams came down poring all over them...
The color of them...
PINK...
Taylor happy as ever fell to his knees to plant a kiss on her stomach...
Hayley's eyes instantly becoming watery.
