Chapter 32:

Taylor's POV:

They rushed her into a delivery room the second we got to the hospital.

I wasn't sure what to do at this point. SO I just sat in the chair next to her. I kept her hand in mine the entire time.
That is until her mother arrived.

Christie told me to get some food.

But I refused. I didn't want to miss any second of it. Besides I was way too nervous to think about food at this moment. But I did it.

On my way to the cafeteria, I hear my name being called.
I shot my head over to the entrance and see Jeremy and Kat rushing in.

I'm instantly being met by hugs and smiles.

I couldn't help but grin. Feeling very excited to have them here.

"How is she?" Kat asked as they accompany me to get at least a cup of coffee and a bagel.

"Uh," I scratch the back of my neck. "Nurses say she's doing great."

I smile in a very satisfied manner. All while I spread cream cheese on my breakfast.

'And the baby?" Jeremy speaks up.

I look at him and sigh. Relieved. "She is doing extra good. Her heart is beating at a normal rate, she has enough oxygen. She's just ready to be born."

Jeremy grins and gives me an encouraging pat on the back.

"Would you like to come up and see her?"

"Can we?"

I nod. "Just follow me." I take a bite of my bagel. Along with a sip of my coffee.

They followed my exact steps.

We made it to the maternity ward and instantly found room number 8.

There I could hear her doing her breathing exercises we learned at birthing class.

I open the door slowly and entered.

Jeremy shut the door after me.

"Hayley!" Kat smiled and went to her side.

Hayley smiled back at her and extended her hand towards Jeremy.

He went over and took a hold of it.

Christie stood from the chair and excused herself. Said she was going to make some calls.

I'm assuming she was calling the rest of Hayley's family.

Which reminded me that I had to call mine.

In the mist of all this, I didn't even bother to call my own family.

"Baby," I squeeze my way in and take a hold of Hayley's hand. "I'm going to call my parents."

She looks at me and gives me a warm smile. "okay." She says in a whisper.

I smile back and lean in to plant a kiss on her forehead.

I descend the stairs. Hoping that a little excise should calm my nerves.

Quickly found out that it didn't.

I breathed heavily as I scan my contact list.

When I got to the 'm,' I pressed the phone icon on the contact under 'mother.'

It rang, two times before I hear her sleepily answer the phone.

It is 4am, after all and this November morning was as chilly as ever.
