This mission was supposed to succeed.
Everyone told me: the general, Commander Dameron, that this mission was supposed to succeed.
Go into Batuu to receive the intel and get out. We were ambushed by the First Order and the monster himself.
Kylo Ren.
I landed in Batuu from my X-wing with my partner in crime, Lycan. We wore civilian outfits. We blended in. We walked through the stalls and multiple sellers. Batuu was a mixing pot of everyone from around the rims. I walked through the spices. My stomach grumbled.
"Eyes on the prize, May" Lycan laughed.
"Can't we stop? We blend in, the First Order won't know what hit them," I replied.
"We might have a minute or two after the mission," he said, in a promise-like tone. "These are the coordinates," he said with a sigh.
I pat his shoulder. We have done multiple missions and they always succeeded. We enter the bar that was said to be inhabited by a resistance ally. Lycan walked in first, hand on his blaster knowing anything could happen in these trading cities. We walk into the almost deserted bar, acting like we just stopped to cool ourselves off from the two suns, taking our cowls down from our faces. We walked over to the man that was told to be to the ally. He had a trusting grin, and hair cut to a short length.
"We are looking for a man named Agnon?" Lycan asked the bartender who was whipping a glass. He pointed over to the man that we knew was him.
"Friends, I have waited to see you for a long time," he said, smiling. "We have much to discuss."
We walked over towards him and sat down, Lycan sitting on the outer edge of the booth.
"On behalf of the Resistance," I whispered. "The General thanks you."
"I hope to help the cause as much as I can," he replies. Grabbing my hand. He looks over with a glance at the entrance. I thought nothing of it.
"The First Order will infiltrate Batuu, try to make it their base." He said, looking back again at the entrance.
A new voice entered, this is when it should have gone right but it didn't "And it plans to take some of the members along with it."
Me and Lycan whip our heads around, and Lycan grabs my hand.
Kylo Ren.
His hand grows cold, and that is when I notice, Agnon has a blaster. He shot Lycan. I watched as Lycans once active, always full of personality, slumped over. I don't hear anything but ringing in my ear. A sob leaves my mouth. Lycan was like a brother to me, and now he was gone, in a snap.
I hold his lifeless body in my arms.
"Don't touch him you monsters!" I yell.
Agnon leaves the booth and goes near
the stormtroopers that I didn't notice guarding the door.
"Shh.." Kylo Ren motions. "Remove the body. And take the girl," he said. I fought, god, I wish I fought harder. One trooper hit his gun in my eye. Which bruised and still hurts. They bound my wrists and shoved
me on the floor. Where was Lycan? I needed his jokes.
"You have now been taken prisoner of the First Order.." "You are a part of the Resistance, I sense you know much we need to know, We will discuss it later." He jerks his head. The stormtroopers shoved me up and forced me to walk. Agnon somehow had his uniform back on and grabbed my wrist.
"How was my show, resistance scum?" He asked, still having that damn charming smile.
I didn't respond, my eyes were red and puffy and I was angry, I was in grief. We walked through the once beautiful stalls, now streaked with fear from the villagers. The first order ship was neatly placed in the docking bay. That's when I started to try to resist. I couldn't let them win. I don't remember being knocked out yet everything went sideways and everything felt slow. Then I blacked out.  So many thoughts ran threw my head. General Organa, Commander Dameron, My friends,
