Chapter 10: (As easy as breathing.)
Loving Yeonjun was as easy as breathing.
It's been three months since Yeonjun moved abroad to study at the university he applied for, while Beomgyu stayed in their hometown to attend a local college. They were pursuing the programs they talked about on that warm, Monday afternoon, and they both didn't regret it. And they also didn't regret getting into a relationship with each other. A long-distance relationship can be difficult at first, but they both managed to get through the beginning struggles of it.
They do video calls almost all the time: when they wake up, during their breaks, and before bed. It was hard, seeing the person you want to hug on your cold screen, but for some reason, Beomgyu always felt warm whenever they call. He could see Yeonjun's smile, it was enough. For now.
"What time is it there?" Yeonjun asked. He was inside his dormitory while doing his homework.
Beomgyu looked at his wristwatch, "2:23. How about for you?"
"10:24 in the evening," Yeonjun answered and smiled. "Are you at the university?"
"Yeah," Beomgyu hummed. "How much longer until you have to go to bed?"
Yeonjun stared at his ceiling as he spun his swivel chair around, he looked at Beomgyu, "When your 3:30 PM class starts?"
The response resulted in a burst of chuckles from Beomgyu. "Ah, I'm sleepy."
"No coffee?" Yeonjun frowned.
"No," Beomgyu propped his cheek on the palm of his hand, "I'm too lazy to buy one."
Yeonjun stayed quiet while he drew on his paper. He grabbed his tablet from one of his drawers, "Could you turn your location on for me, cub?"
"Why?" Beomgyu raised a brow as he turned his location on.
"Nothing," Yeonjun winked at him and Beomgyu just rolled his eyes.
It was a sunny day, almost as warm as Yeonjun's eyes. Beomgyu heard rustling from behind Yeonjun, and suddenly, some other boy walked into Yeonjun's room. Beomgyu tilted his head, "Who's that?"
