"HEY! GET AWAY FROM HER!"

suddenly, yoonjae was pulled away from her harshly.

yunhee gasped, standing there in shock for a second.

after her shock disappeared, she looked at who pulled the jung away from her to see a group of strangers. they looked like princes, and after doing a quick count, she found that there were nine of them.

"who are you?" she asked, inching closer to yoonjae. the person who grabbed him had dark black hair and looked more mature than the others. he was shorter than yoonjae but seemed older and more experienced, probably the oldest.

once she was close enough, she grabs his arm and pulls him towards her in protection.

"you must be princess yunhee based off your dress. we're supposed to be your princes and you're supposed to choose one of us." one of them speak. this one had dark black hair which looked kind of blue? he seemed authoritative. he seemed like a leader of some sort.

as if it was perfectly timed, some of the king's guards take yoonjae to arrest him for "harming the princess" which we all know isn't true.

"WAIT! WHAT'RE YOU DOING?!" the princess screamed, watching the guards struggle to keep yoonjae still. yoonjae was trying to break out of their capture.

"LET HIM GO!" she screams, going up to them to try and help yoonjae out. as she starts to try, one of the new princes gently pull her away from the guards and she is now forced to watch the man she loves get arrested.

"LET ME GO!" yoonjae screams as he gets dragged away.

"YOONJAE!" yunhee yells, pushing the prince who got her away and running after the guards.

"stop it! leave him alone, he didn't do anything!" yunhee pleaded. she was back at the castle, begging her father to let yoonjae go. "father, please!"

at this point, she was crying. though their daughter was in tears, the king and queen didn't stop.

"jung yoonjae, you will be sent to the dungeons to repay for your crime. your family will be notified of this immediately." the king calls, sending yoonjae away to said dungeons.

"FATHER NO!" she screamed. she went to run after them again, but one of her father's guards stopped her.

"dear, please calm down." the queen sighs.

"YOU JUST SENT YOONJAE AWAY! HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?!" yunhee screams, crying harder as she looks at her parents.

"it was for the best, yunhee. hes a bad influence on you." seungjae says, walking up to his daughter. as he raises a hand to wipe away her tears, she ducks and distanced her face from it.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" she yells, distancing herself from everyone around her.

"YUNHEE! THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE." haemin finally exclaimed. yunhee was making a scene in front of the new princes and was acting very unladylike.

"MOTHER! FATHER JUST SENT YOONJAE TO THE DUNGEONS! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO ACT?! HE JUST SENT THE LOVE OF MY LIFE TO THE DUNGEONS!" yunhee sobs loudly, pointing in the direction where the guards took the prince.

"this is why we have arranged you to have suitors. yoonjae is NOT the love of your life, and he NEVER will be. now stop acting like a brat and greet your guests." seungjae snaps. in return, yunhee scoffed.

"how would you know? just yesterday, you both were acting as if you were super happy about yoonjae and I wanting to marry. you PROMISED that i could marry him when the time was right! you both just LIED to me and set me up with nine princes that I've never met!" she also snaps.

the angered and saddened girl turns to the group of said princes, quickly introducing herself in an angered tone.

"I'm princess yunhee and know that I WILL be marrying jung yoonjae." she declares, turning around and quickly making her way to her room.

"KWON YUNHEE! COME BACK HERE." haemin yells, getting ignored. in fact, yunhee loudly slams her door, the sound echoing around the large castle.

"we're sorry about her, she's just being moody right now." the queen apologized to the boys.

up with yunhee, she leaned on the back of the door and slid to the floor. she started to sob harder and harder, to the point where she had nothing to cry out and she couldn't breathe.

with her beloved yoonjae in the dungeons, she didn't know what to do. she really did want to run away with him now.

how could her parents just do that? how could they just arrest and imprison the man they knew she loved? did they only care about her arranged suitors?

"princess?" a voice said through the door, following a knock. it was a voice she's never heard before.

'its probably one of those princes.' she thinks, staying quiet. she sat there on the floor, not moving in hopes of the person giving up and leaving.

"princess, I know you're in there. can you let me in?" they pleaded.

yunhee sat there in silence for a few more moments before giving up. she stood up and slowly opened the door and coming to face with a male shorter than her. he had brown hair and a dimple.

the two stood there for a second, staring at each other before yunhee let him in.

the male stepped in and she closed the door behind him.

"hi. I'm prince kim taerae."
