Alkirk was a normal country for the most part, until a little baby was born in the year 1528 as a member of the Alkanian royal family. His mother and father named him Kiran after his grandfather. Kiran was a normal child from birth with hopes and dreams of being a noble king like his father before him. As the first and only child of King Aurelian and Queen Aileen, Kiran had a lot of responsibility placed on his shoulders before he was even born. The couple had decided to have just one child for unknown reasons but nothing would have made them ready for the rowdy childhood that their little boy would experience.

Not long after his birth, the king and queen came into contact with a young gentleman named Malachi, a mysterious wizard who promised to keep the young prince safe from the world that they lived in. Despite their initial suspicion, they welcomed Malachi into their home, treating him like a member of the family and trusting him with their son's life. At first, they knew that they could trust Malachi as he taught their newborn son all about magic and all the helpful magic that he could teach the young prince to keep him and his family safe for generations.

But over time, Malachi started changing for the worse, he became more demanding and unruly to the point that King Aurelian had to banish him from the kingdom, hoping that their son would be safe that way. But then in the early hours of a cold December morning, something happened that would change Kiran for the foreseeable future of Alkirk. Malachi broke into the kingdom, using his powers to conceal himself from the kingdom's guards and using his knowledge of the kingdom's walls to find the young prince's chamber. The door creaked open as Kiran slept soundly in his crib, being none the wiser of the foul presence in the room with him.

"Your mother and father might try to keep you away from me, young Kiran, but you can't hide from me forever." The toad-faced wizard said with a sinister smile on his face, gently stroking Kiran's cheek. "The kingdom really does need to get better security. Now, what did I come to do? Right..."

Malachi started chanting incantations but Kiran didn't stir one bit, he seemed to actually fall deeper into his slumber as a curse was placed upon the young boy. A curse that would make even his parents fear him for years upon end. His eyes started glowing a deep red like blood, he started throwing tantrums more often for seemingly no reason, thinking so highly of himself and grew to hate everyone that was trying to help him.

In winter 1533, Aurelian and Aileen were at their wits' end so they sent a letter to an old friend in the nearby Kingdom of Norway for some help since they had no answers to how to help their little monster. His name was Arcturus. But it ended up being a solid reminder that even the greatest people alive didn't have answers- Arcturus was stumped into how he could help the young boy. When Kiran seemed to be seconds away from being given up on, Arcturus seemed to remember something, he spoke upon a elderly witch that could help them by the name of Kyro, she was a legendary sorcerer who knew Malachi personally. Aurelian was reluctant to get help from a person who seemed to be close with Malachi, they didn't know if they were about to be stuck in some kind of trap, but Arcturus assured them that Kyro was nothing like Malachi and even offered to go with them if they weren't comfortable going by themselves but Aileen assured Arcturus that they were okay to go alone.

They left their son at the castle early that next morning and made their way to the local town where Arcturus said that Kyro lived. As they wandered through the streets, they could hear the common folk whispering to one another about the sudden appearance of the king and queen but they took no mind to it. They had a reason to be there. They wouldn't stop until they found a way to help the future monarch of the country.

They entered the woodworking shop titled 'Kyro's Magical Woodwork' where Kyro is supposedly living, to find a elderly woman inside, brewing some sort of potion in a cauldron. The room had an earthy smell and was full of wooden sculptures that were made by hand, there were potions on a high shelf that didn't look like they were for sale.
