Guizhong smiled as she nodded in front of an audience. "See, like mother, like son," Guizhong said with a smile as she presented a painting rather, a moving image of Rex dressed in overalls working on something, a tonal machine.
"Yeah, yeah. Ever since you gained your son, you've been nothing but smug about him, you damn brat," Streetward Rambler said while rolling her eyes. An act that made Guizhong smile even more.
"Oh? Is that childless behavior I hear?" Guizhong teased as the members of the Adeptus council ignored the two.
"Hey! Look!"
The screen changed revealing a real-time feed of Rex, now with a bear sigil hanging from his belt, dressed in a white shirt looking at an armory and some robe-like padded armor with Ganyu by his side.
"Yes....." Guizhong hissed ominously as she looked at the two. "The bloodline... lives..."
Wisely, Xiao ignored his stepmother and looked at his stepsiblings.
The video then showed Rex with a cup of coffee (how he got it we will never know) as he listened to the armorer. Ganyu then smile as the two talked about something, making Guizhong's smile get brighter.
"this one thinks Ganyu can do better," Cloud retainer said earning an ominous glare from Guizhong.
"Please! Ganyu is a lovely girl but the real question is if Ganyu deserves Rex,"
"Oh? This one thinks your brain must have been damaged," Cloud retainer said as the two 'mothers' glared at each other.
