why did you stay home the day they buried her
empty casket I stayed home because in my heart
I know she is not dead how do you know that
I know that because when you love someone
as much as I loved her you just know
I don't know how to explain it but it's like
a feeling and after that person dies that feeling
goes away and it hasn't went away for me yet
so that's why I know that she is alive out there
somewhere I just don't know where
all I do know is that she must be being held
captive by someone how do you know that
I know that because she would never leave me
unless it was against her will so that's why
I play football because it was our thing we
would always watch football games together
every chance we could so in a way
playing football helps me feel like she is still
there with me like she never left it's my way
of keeping her spirit Alive so no one could ever
forget how amazing of a person she was.

that's a beautiful thing to do for her
I know she's proud of you because I would be
if I was her but your wrong about your heart
going missing because if it was then you
wouldn't be able to feel her all around you
you might not be able to see her everyday
but she has never left your side
she is in your heart where she is always
going to stay until y'all are reunited again
your a good person James I know it
your friends know it everybody that loves you
knows it not even getting drunk twice a year
could take that away from you.

I was just telling you the truth well thank you
anyways this might sound weird but I know she
would have liked you it is a little weird
but like they always say
being normal is vastly overrated
haha ah there's that laugh that I was hoping
I would hear you may not believe it but your
going to be okay it's going to take awhile
but I promise it will just don't give up
because the world would be very dark
and depressing without you in it
okay I promise I won't Scott just got here
so I'm going to hang up but I'll be at the
hospital in a little bit
