Valen sat in Nat's car for what felt like hours. She had no idea where she was going, but she was full of excitement. Nat refused to give up any details since it was a surprise.
The city always looked prettier at night. All the lights were bright and shining showing some of the skyline as they drove past it. Valen rolled down her window and crossed her arms on the door. She laid her chin on her arms and admired the scenery as the warm approaching summer weather blew against her skin.
For a moment, everything she had been going through drifted away. Nothing mattered as she took a deep breath, laying her head down now.
Nat pulled up to a suburban house that still had its lights on compared to the other dark houses on the street. There were another two cars in the driveway that Valen tried to recognize but couldn't.
"Put your hood up." Nat said. "Your hair makes you easily recognizable. I'm still on Tony's side of keeping you hidden from the public for now."
Valen did as told but turned, confused about what was going on. Did people know her in this neighborhood? Who was in this house? Was it Nat's house?
They waited outside the brown door until it was swung open by a red man with a yellow stone on his forehead. Vision greeted Valen with a smile before pulling her in for a hug.
"Valen, it is so good to have you back." He said as he released her, only to be tackled by a mad woman.
"You're home. You're home. You're home." Wanda almost cried as she kissed the side of her head. She then squeezed her even tighter. "I've missed you so much. I thought you were gone. We all did."
"Wanda, darling, why don't we bring her inside instead of standing out here?" Vision asked as he held the door wider for everyone to make their way through.
Wanda let go of her grasp on Valen but moved it to her hand as she yanked her toward another door. She stopped, turned around, and smiled. "As much as I would love to take all of your time for myself, there's one more surprise."
Valen looked at Nat for an answer of what, but Nat only shrugged with a smirk. Valen pushed the swinging door that led into a kitchen where a man stood already tearing up. Valen almost collapsed to the floor but Bucky caught her.
"Привет, сестра." (Hello, sister). Bucky whispered, holding onto Valen for dear life.
Valen was weeping as she clung to the man. "я скучал по тебе, брат." (I have missed you, brother).
Wanda, Vision, and Nat stood in the doorway watching the sweet reunion. Tears started to slip out of Wanda's eyes so Vision wrapped an arm around her to pull her closer to him. She laid her head against his shoulder and put a hand on his chest.
Bucky lifted Valen off the floor and spun her around. She laughed and still had a smile on her face when he placed her back down. Her hand did not leave his elbow as she turned to look at the group.
"I love all of you."
Wanda awed as she ran over to the girl. She enveloped her in another hug. Bucky joined, circling his arms around the two causing Vision and Nat to jump in.
"We love you, too." Wanda said while everyone hummed in agreement.
The group ended up in the living room after people blew their noses, wiped their eyes, and laughed at all of the emotions. Nat sat on the floor eating nuts out of a bowl on the dining table. Bucky sat on the end of the couch with his arm behind Valen. Wanda and Vision sat on a loveseat as they all caught up on lost time.
"So you bought this house after the mess with the campus?" Valen asked as she finally got a good look at the interior. There were stairs behind her that led up to another floor. To her left, was an open dining room with the kitchen behind it. In front of her, were sliding glass doors looking out to the backyard. To her right, was another room, but the door remained closed so she couldn't tell what it held inside.
