Humiliation

 "Hi guys?" Melanie grinned from ear to ear, as she looked over the couple. "I'm your dad's new assistant. He sent me to pick you up."

Nick rolled his eyes, nodding his head in disapproval "Well isn't that just great! You kissed enough ass to become my dad's pet. Nice work! Let's go." He pulled a stunned Raidyn along.

Raidyn whispered to Nick "Your dad has an assistant?" Nick nodded, "Oh god...I think I might be sick." he chuckled, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze.

They were helped with their bags out to the awaiting limo. Melanie hopped in first, then Raidyn and lastly Nick. His mind was crammed with worry and impatience, all he wanted was for this weekend to be over, and of course it was only Friday night. There were still two days to go, plus the ball.

The ride was pretty silent, besides Melanie's phone ringing off the hook. Raidyn's stomach somersaulted as she watched the huge gates as they opened, to expose what looked like a mansion to her. Nick's house was a shack compared to the huge white house.

"It's going to be ok..." he gave her hand a squeeze and a kiss on the cheek.

She nodded, he really wanted to believe him, but her nerves were getting the best of her. He exited first and then held out his hand to help her out. Taking a deep breath, she exited the car and was quickly taken aback by the amount of people around her.

Some were getting their luggage, others were standing next to a tall blonde man, who wore a dark blue suit and had a wide grin on his face. She knew instantly that he was the famous Bob Carter.

"Niiiiick!" a voice screeched and the small frame jumped into Nick's arms, "It was about time you got here...sheesh"

"Hey Angel...how are you doing?" he squeezed her tight, as she let out a groan.

She giggled "As good as you can in this house...RAY!!" she let out another squeal and embraced Raidyn tight, taking her by surprise.

"Hi Angel" she greeted her timidly, Angel grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the rest of the group, which Nick had already started greeting.

Nick took her hand and pulled her close to him, "Everyone this is Ray..." everyone looked her over, and she instantly blushed. "Ray...you know mom, BJ, Melanie and Angel. This is Aaron..." Aaron looked her over and hesitantly extended his hand. "This is Leslie..."

She smiled widely "Hi...Angel has told me a lot about you."

"Good I hope" Raidyn chuckled, and got a giggled from Leslie, along with a nod.

"And this is my dad..." Nick took a deep breath, this was the person that really mattered to him. He could care less about everyone else's opinions. His fathers, was the most important one.

"Hello Ray, it's nice to meet you, finally. I'm Bob...Bob Carter." he extended his hand and Raidyn extended hers. She felt his hand clasp hers and she felt a sense of relief as he flashed her a warm smile.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Carter" she returned the smile.

Jane let out a sigh, she didn't seem happy with the connection "Well we can't just hang out here, it is a little chilly. Why don't we have some coffee..." she quickly sent for the maid to set up the room for coffee.

Raidyn still looked around, as she heard Leslie and Angel talking a mile a minute about taking them tomorrow, first thing in the morning on a tour of the city. She just nodded with a wide smile, so far things were looking ok, but there were still two days to go. Many things could happen within two days.

After their arrival, and a conversation over coffee with Nick's whole family, everyone had headed to bed. Although, there hadn't been insults, or any dirty looks directed her way, her nerves were still on end.
