THE Party

"Nick...Mia" Raidyn yelled out as she entered the quiet house, Iggy came racing down the corridor and jumped on her leg "Hey there boy..." she petted his head and continued on her path to the living room. Nothing. Into the kitchen, nothing. She checked her bedroom, it was also empty. Then she knocked on Mia's door.

"Come in," a faint voice answered. Raidyn opened slowly and entered the room, she was surprised to find Mia with a box of tissues in her hand and sobbing like a child. "Hey..." Sniff. "Ray..."

Raidyn took a seat on the opposite side of the bed "Hey there...aw! I knew you wouldn't be well tonight." she took Mia in her arms "I could go over there and knock him out?" she grumbled as she caressed Mia's hair.

Resting her head on Raidyn's knee she blubbered "I thought he might change his mind, but it's only a couple of hours for the dinner and Nick just took him to get his suit or outfit. So no luck...oooh...he makes...me...sooooo...mad Ray!" she blew her nose into the tissue.

"So does that mean you're not going tonight? I won't go either if you want..." Mia sprang up and smiled at her sister, "I'm serious..." Raidyn nodded.

Mia smiled widely "I can't believe you would do that for me, after all..." Raidyn gave her a 'don't start the topic' look "No...I'm not giving them the satisfaction of staying hidden here. I'm going to that stupid party...with..." she began to sob louder "With...a big...smile!"

"Ok...so if you're going to be just as stubborn stop your blubbering. Go shower and look for the nicest dress you have...that fits." she mocked getting up and heading for the door. "I'll be back in a couple of minutes to check on your no crying progress." Just as she opened the door, Nick and AJ stood at the doorway, AJ's hand reaching for the knob. "What are YOU doing here?" Raidyn raised a brow.

"I was just..."

"You are torturing her...can't he be an asshole somewhere else." she looked at Nick and rolled her eyes waltzing into Nick's room.

Nick chuckled "Ptt...she told you. I'll see you at the party." Nick walked off to his room.

AJ sighed as he saw Mia's condition. She was now laying on her back and caressing her stomach. He stared at her as she looked away. "I just...wanted to know that..."

She faked a laugh "To know that I'm ok...WELL I'M NOT!" she sat up and gave him a pleading look "Don't do it...please!"

"Mia don't start it please...you're going to get the same answer I give you every time you throw the same fit." he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Ugh...you make me so mad." she suddenly took in a sharp breath "OW!" she whined holding her side.

AJ was swiftly at her side "What's the matter?" he asked, helping her to lay back.

She smacked him "Don't touch me...the baby is upset. I'm upset. You're an ass! Just go get dressed for your big night AJ. I'll be there to celebrate with you...GO..." she held her side as she watched him walk out of her room.

Later in the evening Raidyn tried getting ready. She tried on some gray slacks with a white blouse Oh jeez I'll need a beeping sound as I come by with this ass of mine in these pants. She took them off and slipped on a burgundy halter dress, she looked in the mirror and groaned as she pretended to wave. Oh this is wonderful, could my arms wobble anymore...ugh! This dress is horrible! Angrily she pulled the dress over her head and threw it on the ground.

She tried another baby doll dress and twirled around in the mirror ok...how is Nick with me again? I hate dresses, I tend to look pregnant in them. This purging thing is seriously not helping. I guess I have to do it more often. She slipped off the dress and flung it, almost hitting Nick who was stepping out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist. "NIIIICK!" Raidyn whined, covering herself.
