Okay so if none of you like where they talk over text I'm sorry but in the title it says "We met online" so I just have to tell you to get over it. Byes xXx

Kellin

School was absolute hell - well, most are. But that didn't stop me from staying after, from texting Vic.

What I didn't understand the most, though, was why I was keeping a distance. I know we didn't go to the same school. But hey, wouldn't kill to text him.

Before I sent him my text - he texted me.

Kells guess what?!?

Kells? Wow, this was a start. But I'd have to admit...I kind of liked it.

What?

I waited a few seconds, jotting down some notes, before my phone erupted into song.

The few people that were there glared at me. I muttered a 'sorry' and made sure my volume was off.

Why did I have to think about the stupid Vic Fuentes. Why? The precious little Mexican boy - well, he wasn't that short. Maybe a few inches shorter than me.

I got the band....are you ready for this?

I rolled my eyes. Did he not see that I was fucking ready? I chuckled. He can't see me. I mean unless it's through the tiny phone screen, but I doubt Vic is living there.

Yes I'm ready.

I almost forgot completely about our conversation, because I got so wrapped up in my work that I didn't even remember to check my texts.Whoops.

Okay so I got us a gig at a party. Nothing major, but hey it's a gig. It's for some girls grad party. I think her name is Jenna or something like that. Anyways, it pays about 500 bucks. :)

My eyes nearly popped out of my socket. Five hundred dollars? To play at a party?

Holy shit! Okay, is it set in stone? When is the date? Is that for each individual member or for all of us to split?

My nerves were on end. I was so excited! Five hundred bucks, just to fucking preform? Yes! I loved performing, I would have done it for free - but hey, they don't have to know that.

Not yet, I need your approval first. The date would be June 5, and yes. It's for each band member.

I looked at the date. May 23. We have about two weeks to get ready. Fine by me. We can do this, we so can do it.

Set that shit it motion. And I'll text everyone. Emergency band meeting at Justin's place.

He texted back a short okay and I texted everyone. At six, I'd be on my way over.

I rushed and finished up my problem before packing up and leaving.

I was so excited! We had to make everything perfect for this Jenna girl. Who knows? Maybe they'll want us more often and we'll get more gigs.

I rushed home and changed into shorts and a tank-top. Justin's basement got pretty hot, especially with all that jumping around.

--

"No! It's G-Sharp, not G-flat!"

I groaned. We had been at it for two hours, but Jack still couldn't get that note right.

"Here, let me help."

Vic walked over and stopped Justin from yelling at him, before quietly whispering to him. Jack laughed and nodded, before Vic smiled in satisfaction and got up.

"I think we're ready," Vic said.

I nodded and everyone started playing. The song was called "If I'm James Dean, then you're Audrey Hepburn", and thank god for Vic - that genius helped me come up with my last verse.

"Stay for tonight if you want to, I can show you what my dreams are made of, as I'm dreaming of your face. I've been away for a long time..."

The part we needed Jack to get right was coming up - and I was so nervous. We still had four more songs to practice over the next two weeks.

Everyone held their breath as the instrumental part of the song played. The part where Jack couldn't mess up.

He did it.

I stopped and started cheering. "Fuck! Yeah!"

Jack looked up and continued playing, a grin on his face, mouthing ' I'm a sharp G that you hate because I flattened your tire and you missed a really hot date.'

My jaw dropped open as the song came to an end.

"Holy shit, Vic, how'd you come up with that?"

He grinned at me. "Well - I mean I had an asshole arch enemy whose name was Gerard. Let's just say he slashed my tires once."

Everyone laughed and we got back to work. I hope we nail this gig.
