We arrived at where Markham and Bilkins wanted us to meet them.
The guys walked in and started talking all of a sudden Markham pulls a gun on Rome. I walked in between the two, "Get out of the way Valentino." I laughed, "It's funny that you think I take orders from someone below my pay grade." I walked closer to the Markham and disarmed him and had his own gun pointing at him. I smiled, "Now you are very lucky I'm not trigger happy." I gave the gun to Bilkins and walked over to a table with food on it. By the time I started eating it, Markham attacked Rome again. "Boys" I whispered. I sat there and ate while the boys fixed there little problem. "Running? You see, that's funny because Rome doesn't want to be on the wanted list, and Brian doesn't want to be on it either." I said getting up. "Now stop all this shouting and let's talk like civilized people." Rome started pacing until he saw a bag of food on the same table I just got up from. Apparently I had eating Markham's sidekicks food, and Rome was gonna eat Markham's. Brian started filling in Bilkins on what they knew. "I assume the local cops." I looked up at them and said, "Your assumption is correct, Brian. Carter has a few cops on his payroll." After I said that, I zoned out of there conversation until Rome brought up Monica. Markham then proceeded to ask Brian if he thought that she was compromised, since as he should know. I instantly knew what the double meaning behind that meant. He was talking about the L.A situation. "Alright Markham, no one here likes you very much, and you can't seem to keep your fucking mouth shut. I am going to ask you to kindly shut the fuck up before I do it for you permanently." I said with a sweet smile, I might not like Brian very much, but that didn't mean I was gonna let someone apart from Rome and I talk shit to him. "We're out of here." "Thank God, one more second in here, and I would commit murder." After I said that, I got up and walked outside, going to the car and sitting in the back.
I had the guys drop me off 2 blocks from where I parked my car. "Thanks guys, see you tonight." I walked away. I saw a mall across the road and decided to pretend like I was still shopping all that time.
When I got back to the house, I saw Monica, "Hey M, I have like a zillion bags in my car. Can you help me please?" She laughed and followed me back outside towards the car. "You only needed 1 outfit for tonight. Your not walking down a freaking runway, why the hell do you have so many outfits?" She asked me when I started looking through the bags. "Because Monica, I'm gonna need the other outfits for other occasions, plus I needed to update my wardrobe anyway." After searching through about 20 bags, I finally found a blue dress.
