third person pov
it was around a week and a bit after the argument. however. things had slightly changed, well not slightly but drastically. hongjoong definetly fucked up.
"where the FUCK is my husband? mingyu i swear to fucking god, if you did anything to him i'm going to throw you into the ocean so that all those stupid mermaids could eat you alive or some shit.." hongjoong threatened, holding mingyu by his collar. mingyu only just laughed in hongjoongs face.
for context, a day or two after hongjoong and seonghwa argued and how seonghwa was left in the cells. hongjoong went down to apologise to his beloved but came to notice that he went missing. he sent out hundreds of search requests in the span of a week but no one could find him. that was when it came to his mind - seonghwa's lash out on minjae. so of course he went to ask mingyu.
and of course he did something.
"i only hired someone to kidnap him and take him to a different ship..which may have ended up on land where the humans are?" mingyu later confessed.
"well fuck." hongjoong mentally cursed himself. last time they went on land and into a city, everyone was dying to get to know about seonghwa. obviously for his looks, and to get with him. but hongjoong kept death staring everyone down and kept telling them that seonghwa was taken and happily married.
