In the morning I got a call from the hospital. This time I woke Elias up so we could listen together. The virus is progressing more rapidly in Theo because he is a child. they don't expect him to survive another night and they feel as though it would be best to take him off the ventilator. I called Andy in the room so we could make the decision together. "They should take him off the ventilator" she explains "he should not be put through more pain. Plus, mama won't be alone if she has Theo with her." that makes my eyes water. "I agree, Andy," I told her. Elias nods his head in approval. and so, we switch to facetime. We are forced to say goodbye to our second family member this week over facetime. What has this come to?
It's been a week since we had to let Theo go. It has been a hard week, but I know it'll get better. the numbers have risen to almost 1,500 infected, 1000 dead. This is scary because we don't know what will happen. Will we get infected? Will we die? We have no clue. All I know is I have to support Andy and Elias now. Elias and I have grown closer and closer. We are practically inseparable. I don't know what I would do if something had happened to him.
