Chapter 5: Lisia

Mary walked into the Shopping Center of Lily-Cove City with Poochyena, followed by Banette and Zoroark like they were undercover agents, but in a very cheap way, as she noticed them immediately:"Can ya two stoppin' goin' behind furnitures and plants? I see ya anyway!" Marnie exclaimed, after thirty minutes she was wandering for the first floor:"Gne gne gne! You're so slow and boring to spy on. And plus, you really think that this little one is gonna protect you from those jerks we've got here?" Zoroark said, coming closer to her, and she noticed that he was as big as her:"Seika sent you two for keepin' an eye on me?" She asked a bit gloomy, but Banette popped out from the pavement:"Bit really. Why didn't you go to the Pokémon Center, by the way? If you want to, I can carry your friends to get healed by myself." Mary lent him the Pokéballs, head down, trying not to cry. Banette swallowed them and disappeared, headed to the Pokémon Center. Zoroark sighed and put a clawed paw on her shoulder, meanwhile Poochyena snuggled up on her feet to cheer her up:"Listen Marnie, you're not the first who got defeated by Seikatsu in this way. She can be very feral. But all of us Pokémon of hers are like this on the battlefield. Why did you want to challenge her?" Marnie dried her tears with the jacket's sleeve:"I wanted to challenge her to become stronger and learn something, but it was useless! I've just miserably lost, and I've learnt absolutely nothing! All useless! A wasted travel for Hoenn!" Zoroark headed the girl until the roof of the shopping center, far away from indiscreete looks, then he took out from his fur a little pack of handkerchievs and gave it to Marnie:"Listen Marnie, Seika had built that dark aura by time. It could be that she's got a natural and spontaneous empathy for the most misfits Pokémon Types in the world, it could be that Rayquaza chose her itself, that every Legendary Pokémon of Dragon, Ghost or Dark-Type loves her, but Seika lost. We had lost many times, to be honest. Even against Lisia, we've lost more times, and it's just recently that we've got our rise increased. I remember how she cried. You've really got a lot to learn: you block yourself, you don't think, you get scared to see a Pokémon which got chances to defeat you. Seika and Bisharp act with intimidation, but if it doesn't work or it's not enough, they pass to rage." Marnie took Poochyena in her arms, which started to lick her face, moving its tail, as she was laughing and telling it to stop, then Zoroark joint, making her screaming and he laughed, making her angry:"You remember me Seika, but I was younger by age. Jeez, how many years have passed. Maybe not so many." Marnie sighed:"Come on, let's go shopping. Seems a pity not to buy anything." Zoroark nodded:"Indeed! There are so delicious sweets that you've got no idea! So, let's go, kiddo. You too, puppy." Marnie went ahead, followed by Zoroark, which transformed into an Absol to not be noticed:"Wow, it's so beautiful!" Marnie exclaimed, with Zoroark which boosted himself proudly:"It's Absol, typical of the region. Let's say it's the Dark-Type icon here in Hoenn, as Elite Four Sid got one as his partner. I mustn't be noticed too much, as I've done many chaotic things in the places where food is sold. Eh eh eh!" Marnie didn't ask anything, limitating to sigh and walking with her two friends beside her.

Banette appeared in front of Nurse Joy, going through a wall and vomiting Marnie's Pokéballs, scaring the poor woman who fell on the ground, then he said:"They're wounded and they belong to a little girl with twin tails, few hair, dressed in pale pink and with the face constantly sad. Have a good job!" Then he disappeared into the wall, leaving Nurse Joy sitting on the ground, scared and confused.

Marnie bought various things to eat, with Zoroark which had taken lot of sweets and he was eating them with extremely pleasure and total absence of decency, when Banette came so Zoroark calmed down and gave to him half of his treasure:"Your part, shorty."-"Hooray, eating time!" The two ate like beasts, meanwhile Marnie almost felt sick:"But you two always eat in this way?" The two, with their cheeks full, stopped and nodded syncronized, then they swallowed and came back to devour their sweets like they were doing before. Marnie didn't ask anything, then she left them on the roof eating on their own, as she went to the floor reserved to decorations. She reached the shelf dedicated to PokéDolls, curious to find some pink and cute Pokémon to buy: she found Skitty, a Normal-Type Pokémon typical of Hoenn, which captured her attention. Curious, Marnie took one to examine it and avaluating if buying it, when behind her back she heard a high voice, also too much cheerful for her tastes:"Perfect choice! Especially because it's thanks to Skitty that you obtain Delcatty, a marvelous Pokémon for Cute Contests!" Marnie jumped, meanwhile Poochyena started to growl sligthly, then she turned around, still holding the plushie and she saw that the voice wasn't belonging to any girl, but to Lisia, with her Ali, her Altaria which acted really haughty. Marnie didn't know what to say, as she got surprised:"Well, it's not a very common Pokémon in Galar. Well, it is, but it's not known for tha' reason." Lisia had sparkling eyes:"Ah, you're from Galar? Unfortunately for Pokémon Contest, I can just only go to Sinnoh, Kanto, and Kalos. There, it doesn't seem that these kinds of exhibitions are appreciated. Then, exhibit in a Stadium it's really inelegant." She said giggling, meanwhile Marnie took it personally:"It might be, but I'm not here to see ya, anyway." Lisia looked at her with a challenging look:"By how you're dressed and the Pokémon you're bringing along, I can not think that you're not Seika's fan. Dark-Type doesn't fit any of the Five Conditions. Nevertheless, she had been able to surpass me three times. I hate that the first floor of the museum is hers for the most part."-"And she'll complete it! She's a great Dragon Master as Dark Master too. You won't stop her!" Marnie was up to defend Seikatu's good name, although the girl had been defeated by her badly. Lisia was about to talk back, when Zoroark and Banette made an ambush to Ali, which wet itself: Lisia screamed hysterically, attracting a lot of brainless fans ready to help her. Banette teleported the little group out from the shopping center.

Seikatsu and Piers had stayed in the room of Pokémon Contest, studying some winning combos of types, in order to win Cool Contest:"I've tried it three times, alongside the Cute one. I've never won one. The score was really low, or Lisia got above me also for a few points or just with one point." Piers listened to her with attention, meanwhile Seikatsu was boiling frustration, but then he said:"If they would make them possible to be double, I could even help you. It would be amazing." Seikatsu instead had another idea:"Pie, you're not really known here in Hoenn at all, maybe we could organize a sort of concert where I can create a scenography with my Pokémon meanwhile you exhibit!" Piers was really happy that Seikatsu called him with a nickname, but especially her idea got him excited a lot:"Yeah, it'd be a great idea! I might write and compose new songs for the occasion. You got me, I'm in." Piers was ready to open wide his arms to invite Seikatsu for hugging him, but his sister, holding Poochyena, Banette and Zoroark which were laughing breathlessly and tears in their eyes fell in front of him. Morgrem took advantage from the situation to steal a felt pen from Zoroark's fur, then he drew moustaches on Lisia and he had fun to make Ali's neck in a phallic shape, drawing on others Pokémon in the pictures of Lisia too. Seikatsu and Piers looked at each other both perplexed, then Marnie told them what happened, and instead of beating Zoroark and Banette up, Seikatsu laughed like them, so much that she had to sit next to them. Piers helped Marnie to get up, still holding the little Poochyena with one arm, finding it very cute, then Latios appeared, which instead of calming down the situation he projected the scene:"Look, a bit landed on Lisia's head!" The four, even Morgrem, laughed genuinely, but in the end, even both Piers and Marnie laughed because the scene was really amusing. Marnie would have wanted to buy Skitty's doll, but she thought that it was for a next time, but Zoroark made it appearing from his fur:"Don't worry, Latios had paid it. It's not stolen." Marnie smiled happily, then she went to admire Seikatsu's pictures, and she went out with Banette's Phantom Force, bringing her to the Pokémon Center as she couldn't stay inside the museum.

Piers and Seikatsu went out amused, with him exclaiming:"Surely ya must hate Lisia so much. From her attitude, she recalls me Leon, but he's too dummy and guillible to be someone who degrades others. Also, he's got a nonexisting sense of orientation." Seikatsu sighed:"Yeah, I can't stand Lissi at all. That's how her fans call her. She thinks to be the best as she's Wallace niece. Moreover, Wallace gave me the chance to choose between a Feebas and Swablu, and I chose Feebas, ignoring that she was cromatic. Lisia took it personally. Maybe she's just jealousy as Milotic is Wallace's symbol." Piers sighed, desperately:"In Galar, Champion Leon's got his little brother Hop, who two years ago when I still was a Gym Leader, kept boosting himself up by saying that he was strong just because Leon was his brother. He defeated me anyway, but he lost miserably against his brother. Arrogant and annoying, he misjudged me on my looks. I'm not surprised that he's a loser." Seikatsu felt the grudge, meanwhile Latios communicated to her:"You two are so cute, you both hate the same people!" Seikatsu was ready to make Latios flying, but he talked back:"I already do it by myself, no need your help." Seikatsu growled, leaving Piers perplexed a bit:"Everythin's okay?"-"Ehm, yeah. No, nothing goes right. Here, the crying Lady because her Pokémon has shitted on himself."-"If ya want, we can go somewhere else." Piers proposed, but before she could reply, Latios exclaimed:"Here you go!" He took Seikatsu and Piers on his back, and then he flew away toward Mount Pyre.
