Chapter 28: Dark Masters Tournament

Seikatsu waited for Piers in the next two days, meanwhile Leon seeked for various experts of Dark-Types who were really strong, but counting Seikatsu too there were seven, an odd number and that sent him on crisis. Seikatsu didn't care about Leon's crisis, going on the towers of Hammerlocke without Raihan knowing it, waiting for Piers. The Gym Leader had a jumpscare everytime he saw her, then she apologised:"Oh, sorry Rai, it's a habit I've always had with Sky Pillar of Hoenn." The boy sighed:"Better that I'm get used to it. I think that Piers' gonna be away often, you know?" Seikatsu nodded:"I do, but it's fine and I won't do that every day he's gonna be away." Raihan nodded:"It's alright, just don't make me getting jumpscares every time. Tell me when you come, I'm not bothered if you sit her to gaze at the horizon." Raihan was honest, simply he didn't wanted jumpscares anymore.

Piers came back home to Galar a pair of days after, welcomed by his sister and his girlfriend, very happy to be in Spikemuth. He shared with them all of his events and fun he had at his concerts, about fans that came from everywhere and that probably every tour would had been longer than the last one. Meanwhile they were talking, Seikatsu had an upcoming call by Leon and she went in Piers' bedroom to reply:"Hey Seika, am I bothering?"-"No no, tell me what's going on."-"Well, you're seven Dark-Type Masters, so one of you should stay outside from battling. I mean, going directly to the final." Seikatsu sighed:"Dunno, I'd like to battle." Marnie came and gave her a sign to pass her the phone:"Lee wait, Marnie wants to speak to you." Marnie smiled weakly:"Well Leon, I'd like to retire." Piers, who came into the room too, and Seikatsu were astonished, but she explained:"I don't feel ready yet, 'cause two Pokémon of my party haven't evolved yet and they aren't ready." Marnie gave back the phone to Seikatsu, then she and Leon hunged down. Seikatsu and Piers tried to talk to her and changing her mind, but Marnie explained the reason and made it clear that wasn't about her insecurities, because the first thought that Seikatsu and Piers had was that Marnie didn't feel enough. Clarified the doubts, Marnie went to sleep, but even Piers and Seikatsu were calm: Piers was tried and we wanted to recieve and give lot of affection, so they found to talk and sharing some aspects of their lives that they didn't feel to share in the beginning of their relationship.

The next day, Piers and Seikatsu got ready to go to Wyndon for the opening day of the Tournament. As they arrived to Wyndon, they changed together in a dressing room: they didn't have anything to hide, and they helped each other to fix their outfits and hairstyles. Piers took back his historic uniform of his Gym, meanwhile Seikatsu got dressed inspired by Hydreigon: she was wearing a long black dress with an overcoat which recalled the feathers of the Pokémon, with make-up inspired too and they hair braided and tied up, showing off her undercut. Piers was less labored than her, and he got ready for last between them, then he blocked Seikatsu by grabbing her wrist:"Wait, I wanted to make ya a surprise. Close your eyes!" Seikatsu let him guiding her in front of the mirror, meanwhile he put a necklace around her neck and told her to open her eyes: Seiaktsu smiled super happily, because Piers had made a necklace with his Dark Badge:"It's very pretty! Thanks Pie!" Seikatsu kissed Piers, then:"Why this gift?"-"Ya know, it was my last badge to give, so it's very special and I wanted to give it to you." Seikatsu blushed and smiled, then giggled:"So, you're implying that I'll defeat you?" Piers maliciously talked back:"No dolly, I won't give ya break and I'll defeat you, in the face of everybody." Piers had basically put Seikatsu against the wall, pressing a hand to the wall, but Seikatsu talked back to the same way, although Piers was doing that to seduce and tease her and usually that melt her, but her Trainer's pride made her more bold: Seikatsu took the pendant of Piers' choker, dragging him to herself and making bending to her height:"No dear, you didn't understand: I'm gonna destroy like I've done with everyone else. I'm waiting you in the final." Seikatsu kissed him and walked away, leaving him astonished, then he found Banette popping out from a wall:"About battles my kiddo doesn't joke, eh eh eh!" Piers didn't get scared, as he was used to find him everywhere:"I saw. I didn't expect that she would had reacted like that." Banette chuckled, then he disappeared, and Piers went to the battlefield with Obstagoon, meanwhile Seikatsu went with Zoroark. Seikatsu found Sidney with Absol, Grimsley with Liepard, Karen with Houndoom and Nanu with Alolan Persian. Nanu grumbled desperated when he saw Zoroark: the Illusion Fox Pokémon during the trial had exasperated the Kahuna with his comments and spites. Zoroark was sneering with Obstagoon, as he was telling him what he had done and started to comment:"I hope to get drepressed uncle as first opponent!" He said chuckling, meanwhile Latios and Banette were breaking into laughs from the stands, telling to Marnie what was happening. Sidney, Grimsley and Karen weren't hostil at all toward Seikatsu, but anyway the defeats she had inflicted to them were still burning, although years had passed.
