Chapter 3-Explanations

I hear people whispering around me.

"What was I supposed to do, leave her alone in the park in the middle of the night? Take her back to Pam?"

Someone sighs. "No, I guess not."

"So now what? Is she going to stay here?"

"I haven't thought that far. I just couldn't leave her there. You should have seen the look in her eyes when she was talking about revenge. You know if sh-"

"Don't even think about it."

"Why?"

"You know why."

"So you can turn anyone you want, but no one else can?"

"You know that is not what I mean."

"Then what? Give me one good reason why not."

There is silence. I start moving a little to alert them I am awake. I stretch and blink my eyes open. There is movement near me.

"Amy. You're awake."

I try to sit up a little, and my head starts pounding. A glass of water is handed to me and what looks like Tylenol. I take the glass and swallow the pills. Looking up I see the man from the park.

"Thank you."

"Yoongi" He reminds me.

"Thank you, Yoongi."

He gives me a small smile. Tae suddenly appears beside him as if out of thin air.

"Here, I brought you some clean clothes and a towel. I thought you might want to take a shower."

"Is that your way of saying I stink?" I laugh a little.

"Well, now that you mention it..." He trails off and then breaks out into a huge boxy smile.

"Here, let me show you." Yoongi says as he stands up, and I follow him.

I follow him into an en suite bathroom that is bigger than any I have ever seen. The entire room looks to be made of stone. There is a double vanity to the left and a tub big enough for 5 people, sunken into the floor, straight in front of me in the middle of the bathroom. A small platform is built around it to prevent you from just walking into it.

There is another door on the vanity's other side, which I assume is the toilet. To the right is a wall that seems to curve around into a spiral. A shorter wall gradually gets bigger on the outside of that wall.

"Take your time. I will be out here when you are done." He says and closes the door behind him.

I get undressed and walk into the spiral I hope is a shower. The spiral opens into a big round area which is an open-air shower. There is a rainfall shower head straight up and shower heads all over. It reminds me of a car wash. It takes me a minute to figure out how to get the water on and the temperature set.

I find shampoo and conditioner that smells super expensive. I also found a body wash that has a light floral scent. After washing, I just stand under the water, letting it wash over me. I turn the temperature up and close my eyes. I must be in there for a while because I hear the door open.

"Amy, are you ok in there?"

"Yeah, sorry. It just feels so good. I've never been in a shower that had hot water like this. Usually, all the hot water is gone by the time I get to the shower."

"That's fine. I just wanted to check on you. Stay in as long as you want."

I hear the door shut. I stand there for another minute and then turn the water off. I grab a thick and fluffy towel that is so big it is like a sheet. After toweling off, I wrap it around me. A new toothbrush sits on the counter beside the clothes Tae handed me. I grab it and brush my teeth.
