Chapter 18-Revenge

I am awakened the next morning to small licks placed to my face. I blink my eyes a few times and am face to face with a ball of fuzz.

"Yeontan." I squeal, scooping up the puppy. "I missed you so much. You have grown so much. Have they been spoiling my baby?"

Aside from Yeontan, I am alone in the bed. When I get out of bed, the nightstand catches my eye. Sitting on it is a new phone. I go to the bathroom and then grab one of Kook's shirts, pulling it over my head. Picking up Yeontan, I head out to find where everyone is. I pass empty rooms and then hear voices from the living room. As soon as I enter, they all turn to look at me. Yoongi comes and sweeps me up, sitting back down, cuddling me into his lap.

"How did you sleep, baby?" He asks.

"Better than I have in a long time. Thank you for the new phone, by the way. I assume they destroyed my last one."

"Of course, the rest of your things are in your room and we will be replacing your wardrobe," Jimin says, shooting Kook a look, who has his head bowed.

"Amy, we want to talk to you about something."

"Did I do something?"

"No, not at all, sweetheart," Tae says.

"Creating a soul bond is similar to a marriage. Our kind treats it as a wedding, a very serious affair." Joon starts explaining.

"We want to do this the right way," Jin says.

"Like an actual wedding?"

"We can do something private, but what I mean is that I don't want it to be just another day of the week. So, we are going to make plans. I just didn't want you to wonder why we are not doing this immediately. It is not because we have second thoughts." Yoongi explains from behind me.

I nod in understanding.

"Actually, before you guys go do whatever it is you do during the day, I have a question. When Yoongi turned me, he said that he would give me what I needed to take care of Pam. I think I am ready for that."

"I know where she is living now. She is renting a house, so there shouldn't be a problem with anyone seeing or hearing you." Tae tells me.

"Tell us when you want to go so we can make sure that one of us is available to go with you," Jin says.

"I actually would like to go by myself."

They all exchange a look before looking back at me.

"She is living in Ateez territory. You will need to get permission from them to kill a human in their territory." Hobi tells me.

"That shouldn't be a problem. I will go talk to them tomorrow."

"I'm not sure I am 100% comfortable with that," Joon tells me.

"There is no reason to worry, I promise."

The next morning, I am standing at their front door. I am about to ring the bell when the door opens, and I am scooped up in a pair of arms.

"Hello, love."

I am set down and find myself looking up into Hongjoong's eyes. He ushers me inside, and I am greeted by the rest of the clan. We go to their living room and take a seat.

"I have a feeling that this is not a social call," Mingi says.

"Not this time, I have a human that needs to be dealt with, and I want to be the one to do it, so I am here to ask your permission."

"Who?" San asks.

"Her name is Pam. She was my foster mom."

I then tell them, going into detail, about my life with her and what happened with Beth. I tell them that as one of the things Yoongi promised me when he found me, that he would provide me with what I needed to get rid of her. They all exchange looks before Hongjoong looks back at me.
