After we are done eating, Yoongi takes me back to his room and leaves me so I can rest. After sleeping for 12 hours, I am not sleepy. I stand there and look out of the window, watching the rain fall. What I can see of this house is amazing. It is modern and sleek but in an organic way. From what I can see out of the window, we are in the woods. There are floor-to-ceiling windows. Some walls are nothing but windows.

It gives the feeling of being light and airy. Their floors are dark hardwood, and most of the furniture is dark wood mixed with black. I have only seen this room, bathroom, and kitchen. But there are a lot of natural surfaces like stone and wood. It is very pretty but masculine at the same time. I don't want to roam around, so I stay put, hoping Yoongi will return soon. After a while, I get tired of standing, and I go lay on the bed. Not long after, Yoongi enters.

"What time is it?" I ask.

He pulls his phone out of his pocket. "A little after noon. Are you hungry?"

I shake my head. "I'm ok. I'm not used to eating so much at once, and I don't usually eat lunch."

He looks at me, tilting his head. "Why not?"

It was just then that I realized what I told him. I look down at my hands in my lap.

"We would eat breakfast at school in the morning because it was free. Pam wouldn't give us lunch money, so we just went without."

He shakes his head. "I can't believe she was hiding all of this from us. We just blindly helped her, and she was starving and abusing you guys." His eyes shift to mine. "I'm sorry we didn't see it."

"You don't need to apologize. Her actions are all her own."

He nods and walks over to a door, opening it, revealing a closet. He comes back out with clothes in his hand and then goes into the bathroom, and I hear water running. I'm not really sure what I am going to do. I have nowhere to go. If I try to go to a shelter, they will send me back to Pam as long as I am under 18.

I also need my stuff. While I didn't have much at Pam's, the little I did have would help me. I wonder if I could sneak back in when she isn't home and get my things. Yoongi comes out of the bathroom.

"Um, are my clothes clean?" I ask hesitantly.

"I can check. Why?" He asks, tilting his head a little.

"Oh, well, I need to get going and get out of your guys' way. I was just going to change back into my clothes and be on my way."

He comes and sits on the bed beside me.

"Where are you going to go?"

"Well, I first need to sneak back into Pam's and get my things, and then I will figure it out from there." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"Will you go to a shelter?"

"I can't do that until I am 18. They would send me back to her if I were to go now."

"Ok, so again, where are you going to go?"

I stand. "Look, I appreciate everything, but I have been in similar situations before and will figure something out. I always do."

He doesn't say anything for a minute. He stands and says he is going to get my clothes. When he comes back, he lays my clothes on the bed and leaves so I can change. I get dressed and find my shoes. Putting them on, I leave the bedroom and set out, looking for the front door. I head down some steps and down a hallway and see the front door. I reach for the knob.

"You don't have to leave, you know."

I turn around to find the voice. Tae. He is standing there, arms crossed.
