Gus woke me up and handed me a bag of chips which is my favorite and my things and went out so I can change, it's a big day for us hybrids because we gotta nail this if we don't wanna wind up dead

I changed and went out, everyone stared at me for a second then smiled then got back to what they're doing. We got our breakfast which is bread and carrot and a can with red beans and tomato sauce. We ate it and left afterwards

There Gus looked at the cabin for a few seconds and looked at me, he smiled and told me everything is going to be okay.

I smiled back refusing the urge to get angry right now at this current moment

We got into position and as expected they arrived. We decided to hide Earl in the ground and covered in with a big rock that we all worked to push. Oh god I hope he can breathe there.

Last men are surrounding the cabin trying to find us, they didn't check the trees and  didn't find the big rock suspicions. We were so still at that moment we felt like a statue. We're sweating all 5 of us are sweating

Jojo who is next to me whispered
"I can't see them do you?"

"No I don't see them"

"Can you move?"

"No! They will catch us"

"I'll set a rat free while you move"

I moved as Jojo demanded me to. I made a sound as Jojo released the rat. Few last men's attention was on the rat and they were alot of last men now. More than usual thanks to Jojo.

I freezed as I felt all of them pushed my back out of the bushes as the last mens saw me, they shouted "I FOUND IT" like I'm some kind of animal

I freezed unable to move as I stared at all of them in shock and cried "no... No!!! Get off of me you.... Noo!!!" I sobbed as they dragged me.

I was kicking the air as they take away my weapons. They dragged me with full force as I tried to get out with all my might.

I sobbed and looked at the bushes. Why... Why did they do this to me... I care about them and I know they knew it..

Gus.. Why would he do that to me.? I thought we were friends.. I thought that we're all friends..

I sobbed as the words kept repeating in my mind I cried loudly and even shouted. Something was injected to me and I passed out.

When I woke up I was tied down in some kind of chair. What is this place? My feet and arms are ties down and someone came in.

"What a pleasant surprise" a person with glasses and is wearing the same white jacket that my father and mother used to wear all the time.

I have a lot of colored wires around me and a lot of computers too. Just like the ones that my mom used to allow me to watch cartoons in whenever i behave well

He stepped closer as I growled while giving him a death stare. The man smiled and bowed down to my level

"What's your name."
He asked me a question while grinning and looking at my eyes as I moved around in anger while groaning

"Alright. We must do this In the hard way I suppose." he smiled and got up, he spoke to the people outside which I clearly heard their conversation. Didn't he see my big ears?

"Scare her, just a tiny bit scare would be acceptable thank you."
Scare me? Hah! Nothing could ever scare me is he stupid?

The big mans looked at me and chuckled before shooting an empty glass

They knew about my ability. That's why they used it against me, I flinched, I want to cover my ears but I couldn't I screamed as they shot another one making me scream again and flinch.

It hurts my ears I want it to be gone. Another shot but this time it was louder I screamed and begged them to finally stop "Please!! Just please stop it...!!!" I begged as I screamed one more time, it hurts my ears so much j feel like they're going to bleed.

The bad mens left as I cried there breathless and panting for air as I sobbed hard

The man from before stepped inside
"I see you're becoming reckless and i don't want to hurt you.. Ever.. But if you're going to decide not to be cooperative then i must do my job. And you understand that don't you? So unless you want your ears to bleed you need to be more cooperative do you understand.?"
He tried to gaslight me into thinking that I could trust him, but I'm not easily fooled

I moved closer and whispered
"Shooting me won't make you less old, hag"

He got pissed and snapped his fingers, the 2 men from before appeared as I felt scared I shivered and shouted "no.. I'll be more cooperative!! I promise!!" I shouted but 1 of them shot another empty glass making me screech and scream

"Thank you. You must go now, I'll handle this"
The man smiled and the 2 mens goes away finally. I sighed in relief. They're finally gone

The man then bowed down to my level and and smiled at me
"My name is Dr. Aditya Singh. What's yours?"
He asked with a soft voice

"Isla."
I answered in a rather unpleasant tone

"Okay Isla. I see you're becoming more cooperative and I must say thank you for your effort." he smiled and got up. He took out a paper and pencil and wrote something down.

He sat down in a chair and pushed it to go towards me closer.

"Isla, how old are you Isla?" he asked another question

"I'm 11 years."
I answered as I looked down in the floor

"Who are your parents.?"
he asked but this time he's more serious than ever and j can sense his voice changing and also his breath getting heavy

"I don't know.."
I forgot my mother's name and also my father's.

"You must know Isla, try to think"
He forced me to think

"I don't know who they were..."
I cried, this is the only time I've ever felt weak in my entire life. I felt so weak and helpless
