'Don't worry everything's gonna be fine... '

Soo much blood?!

'You're safe now... '

Pit pit pit

'can you tell us what happened?... '

Can he still be alive?

'Miss Cooper?... '

Why is this happening?

'Miss Cooper can you hear me?'

He didn't deserve this?

'Are you alright....?'

Why?!

"René!! ”

The hint of worry in Casper's tone was what it took to snap me out of my mental torment.

"Hmmm?"

"Are you alright?"

A few minutes after I walked out to the horrified crowd right in front of the body, someone must've called the paramedics and the law enforcement.

Just like the unfortunate incident that happened in LA, the health workers were able to gather the body in haste and leave the scene for the officers to investigate. It was hard for them at first because the two halves of hectors body was threatening to completely fall apart which in the process made some of his internal organs spill to the floor. If I didn't know the internal structure of the body before, I do now.

A lot of people threw up, including me.

"hija ?"

"I'm okay." I muster what I think is a smile but by the look on his face it must've come out as a pitiful grimace.

"No you're not. Are you hurt?" He couldn't help but worriedly give my body a once over looking for any form of injury I guess.

”No." He sighed in relief and glanced around the parking lot before focusing on me.

"Elizabeth told me what happened at the party." The Change in his tone caused a nervous discomfort in my belly. "He shouldn't have said that." The frown on his face made him appear older than he was.

"He was drunk." I whispered even though I have no reason for coming to his defense. What he did was uncalled for, sure, but that didn't mean he deserves death, a brutal one at that. Whoever did this definitely has some kind of messed up vendetta against him for his intestines to hangout of his body!

What if it's the same person that murdered Jacob

Casper changed the subject visibly not happy with my response.

"I'm glad you're not hurt i-"

"Lieutenant, sir I've spoken to Allen in forensics and gathered almost everyone's statement, Collins is on the scene right now. do you want me to take her statement?" A man probably in his late 20's stride across the lot to where we were

It wasn't until now that I noticed Casper in uniform. It didn't even cross my mind that he was here as  a cop and not my father. I took in his outfit from the walkie talkie strapped on his shoulder to his badge and then his holster where a very real gun was tucked in.

"Uuhh... I don-"

I cut him off "I'll do it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I mean you can do it another time when you're ready?" I looked between papi and the other officer.

"Thank you but I rather get this over with."
