"ughh... Crap!" René yelped as the plastic bowl of water fell to the ground in front of her almost missing her feet. Out of frustration she continued cursing out silently, worried that she'll wake up the sleeping house.

She didn't want to waste any time fretting over spilled water so she stopped cursing and picked up the bowl.

This was definitely not what she needed right now, she has to go wake the twins up in a few minutes and thier breakfast is yet to be made.

Damn it! I shouldn't have stayed up all night watching that stupid movie, she thought as she hastily mopped the water while boiling another one. Last night after putting her brothers to sleep René thought she could maybe treat herself for all the work she's done this past few weeks.

Orion and Hermes had a productive day in school with the soccer game but unfortunately they forgot their shoes at home, she had no choice but to sprint back home from school and run to the bus stop. Fortunately she got there just in time as the team was about to go into the field. She sat at the makeshift wooden bleachers alone with her walkman mp3 player plugged in and cheering the kids on even though they were extremely bad at the sport.

When the game was over with the score ending in 3-2, the opponent team being the winner, the twins team, the red apes nonetheless gave the other team a hug as a form for good sportsmanship and ran to meet their respective families.

"Did you see that Eenie?" Orion the more conserved of the two screamed out in excitement jumping on his feet with his brother.

René just smiled and nodded with her heart filled with content at the mere grins on thier faces.

"Yes O, the both of you were the best players."

"Really?!"

"Really." She laughed and got down from the plank. "Go and get your bags so we go home, it's already getting dark." They both nodded and ran back into the building.

René was antsy. The sun was setting faster than normal and she hated the idea of walking in the dark with her brothers. How could she protect her siblings from danger when she could hardly protect herself.

She was not willing to risk it.

So with a nervous sigh she dragged her feet to one of the twins friends, Evans And his snobby Mom, whom she has seen in her house one to many times.

"Hey Evans." René gave the boy a sincere wave and looked up straight to his mother Mrs. Michelle Gill. "Hello Mrs Gill."

The pretentious smile on Michelle's face looked so real it almost fooled René but she knew better. Mrs Gill has expressed her displeasure towards the friendship between her precious son and the boys. She would have a felt the same If Evans was like his mother but he was the opposite of her.

"Riley is it?" She let out a scoff and a sneer before changing her expression again when her son looked at his mom.

"It's Ren mommy." Feeling a little embarrassed by her son's correction she ignored him and glanced away. "Hi Ren."

René failed in keeping a straight face as she tried her hardest to suppress the petty giggle ready to erupt deep from her throat.

"Mrs Gill I was wondering if you could give us a lift...? You know since its getting late?"

So the brat needs my help huh? Michelle thought as she pondered on wether to take pity on the delinquent or teach her a lesson and refuse. That dilemma didn't take long to think about.
