hanbin took a deep breath as he checked his watch again. where is she, he thought, she's not usually late.

just as hanbin took another glance up, he saw the familiar black haired girl with her usual crop top and sweatpants combination.

he smiled to himself unconsciously and awkwardly waved her way. yuri beamed at the taller boy and walked to the counter.

"since i'm here, i might as well support the business," yuri joked as she looked up at the menu. hanbin let out a chuckle and prepped the register.

after he made her drink, he pulled her outside and sat her down at a small table.

he exhaled nervously and finally started talking. "i've been doing a lot of thinking recently," he mumbled, catching yuri's attention.

her face grew pale as she was again reminded of the situation; they were no longer the close friends they once were and had not been for months

hanbin tapped on the table lightly as he spoke. "i'm really sorry about what happened and you were right. i should have waited longer to sort out my feelings, but i just felt so alone. i wanted to feel needed and everytime you were around i felt like i was giving and giving and not receiving," he paused and looked up at her.

yuri's sadness was plastered across her face and any passerby would probably think she was being broken up with. she couldn't shake the deep feeling of guilt that filled her stomach, she felt helpless. hanbin could see this and decided to reach out for her hand.

yuri's tears started falling as she tightly gripped his hand. she knew she was in the wrong and was so very grateful for hanbin's kindness. she had failed to see it before, but he was always there. he had saved her time and time again and she never thanked him enough. he was her savior and she finally realized that.

yuri stifled a sob and tried to clear her racing mind.
that was when she was finally able to get her first words out.

"i love you so much, hanbin." yuri said softly.

hanbin smiled and rubbed her hand with his thumb.

"i have loved you since we first met, riri."
