yuri hurriedly turned around and saw the familiar boy smiling at her with his cat-like whiskers on display. yuri unconsciously smiled back at him and awkwardly waved.

"long time no see," hanbin teased as he interlocked their arms. "come on we're going to be late."

yuri's face heated up instantly, causing her to turn her face away from him. hanbin noticed this and patted her head softly, not wanting to make her even more embarrassed.

hanbin guided yuri to the journalism floor — as she had not attended for months and was now unfamiliar with the area.

yuri gawked at the upgraded building. "woah they seriously made a lot of changes since i've been here."

hanbin chuckled and replied, "they made these changes a few days after you stopped coming," yuri looked up at him. "i remember wanting to tell you. i thought maybe you'd come back but..."

yuri felt the awkward tension returning once more. she pulled her arm from his and started walking toward their editor-in-chief.

the editor-in-chief, lee hyesoo, scowled upon seeing yuri. "hey, kang yuri, you seriously have the nerve to show up here now?"

yuri stopped in her tracks at the remark. hanbin sighed and grabbed yuri's hand, in hopes of calming her nerves.

"hyesoo leave her alone," hanbin whined, "you being in charge is enough to scare anyone away."

hyesoo rolled her eyes and turned to yuri. "you're lucky hanbinnie likes you, kang yuri," hyesoo turned and yelled back at them as she left. "your section editor has your assignments."

yuri's smile returned as hyesoo exited. "thanks for defending me.. she scares me," yuri sarcastically shivered, making hanbin giggle as he led her to the arts & entertainment section.

"oh, hanbin, who's my section editor?" yuri passively asked as she sat at the desk labeled kang yuri with a small smile drawn in the corner.

a small smirk grew on the boy's face, "i am."
