Ryan: Doors unlocked. I'm in my room

Was the text I'd received as I got out of my car that same weekend. I'd not told mom I was coming here. We'd thought it best if she think I'm at Santana's on an Unholy Trinity sleepover that would last the whole weekend. I'd managed to convince Santana to cover for me if the need arose.

I walked in the front door and noticed how oddly quiet the house was. Obviously Ryan had said his family wasn't here that weekend, but it was so weird not having Riley run down the hall the second I entered the door, or Kate coming out of the living room or the kitchen telling her to stop running indoors and give Quinn room to breath as the little girl hugged me.

I headed straight for Ryan's room. Almost on auto pilot and descended the stairs, still a little confused as to why he was down here, when he had the whole house to himself. As I rounded the corner my eyebrows shot up at the sight before me.

What was normally a pretty open planned basement, I had spent so much time in, was now covered in white sheets and fairy lights.

"Ry?" I called out when I realised it obstructed my view of the room, and in turn Ryan himself. I couldn't find him anywhere.

"Hurry up and get in here" He responded.

"And how do I do that exactly?" I asked the sheets in front of me, as if they'd offer me the answer. I really carefully pulled back what I presumed to be the 'doorway' hoping it wouldn't all collapse. As I did I revealed the grinning face of my boyfriend, lounged on a bed of couch pillows and blankets, and what looked like every cushion and sheet his room had to offer. I looked around and noticed that the sheets we were now  both under, encased not only this cosy looking make shift floor couch my boyfriend had crafted, but also his TV, and sitting out in front of him was a pizza, obviously covered in bacon, looking all delicious.

I smiled back at him.

"You're telling me you have the whole house to yourself. And you chose to build a fort in your room?" I asked incredulously from my place at the 'doorway'. He just continued to smile at me, looking proud of himself. "You are such a child sometimes" I shook my head but smiled none the less.

"Said the girl who lied to her mom and gave her a cover story of a 'sleepover' so you could come here and be with you're awesome boyfriend who makes amazing forts?" He retorted back at me with a raised eyebrow that rivalled mine. Now I was strangely proud.

"Now are you gonna bitch about it? Or are you gonna join me in this awesome thing?" He said proudly. I rolled my eyes and dropped down on to the couch cushion on the floor.

If you can't beat em, join em I guess.

"Okay, I take it back, this place is actually kind of romantic" I said from my place resting back against the couch. "Just us, hidden away from the rest of the world, enjoying each others company..." I said wistfully.

We'd settled down and decided to watch some movies. Of course with me getting my way of my absolute favourite, Dirty Dancing. I'm sorry but it will never get old. It holds an even more special place in my heart now, and that has to do with the boy sitting right next to me. I'll never listen to 'I've had the time of my life' the say way ever again. And I am perfectly okay with that.

"I just wanted to make a fort. Romance was never even considered here" He said disinterestedly , eyes still glued to the scree as he took a bite of the chocolate covered strawberries he'd run upstairs to collect from the refrigerator, just moments ago. I poked him in the rib from where I sat and he squirmed. "I'm kidding" He laughed. "I'm kidding" He said more seriously when he turned and saw the pout aimed his way.
