Ugh, I really don't want to steal." Y/N mumbled. He walked through the crowd of teenagers while the movie "Ferris Bueler Days Off started to play on screen" on the big screen projector. They turned back to look at the roof of the school building, and the turtles all gave him a thumbs up. "Alright, just get the snacks," Y/N mumbled.

While a boy walks near them, distracted by his phone, Y/N sneakily pickpockets his wallet and goes up to the snack bar, saying, "I'd like to buy two large buckets of popcorn, please." Y/N asks, and the guy looks at the oddly dressed teen. "You look like crap," he says in a stoner-type voice. "Thanks," They say in their usual monotone voice.

Y/N finds a way to climb onto the roof while safely carrying two buckets of popcorn. They place down the snacks and sit down. "Thanks dude," Mikey says. "The only thing you're good at is this stuff." Raph says as he reaches in for popcorn. "Oh, leave him alone, red head." Mikey nudges him. "Shut it guys, I can't hear," Donnie says.

Later....

As the movie progresses, they watch as Ferris Bueller rises up while singing in a parade-like event. The turtles all gasp in amazement while Y/N is laser focused on the film. "I wish I had hair like that," Mikey says. "I wish I had hair, period." Donnie says, "Is this high school like in real life?" Leo asks, "Yea, you go to high school; you can just hijack a play whenever you want." Raph answers that.

"Yeah, can you imagine that?" Mikey says, while Donnie just slouches on the roof ledge. "Yea, I'm totally not jealous at all," he mumbles, while Y/N is in their own little world of imagination, daydreaming of being in Ferris Bueller's place. "If only I was as confident like him," they thought.

Y/N takes notice of what the turtles were looking at, and they look down at all the other teenagers in the grass field; everyone was happy and having fun together. They look at their worn-down clothing and get reminded of their lifestyle. "It sucks that I can't have this," Y/N thought.

"Maybe one day everyone will love us like Ferris Bueller." raph remarks, Donnie switches positions and lays on his shell. "Let's be honest, the only one here out of all of us who would be liked by them is Y/N," Donnie says, and Y/N snaps out of his world. "Wha?" They looked at Donnie. "True, if they wanted, they could go out in the day and make lots of friends," Mikey says.

"Or he could go to high school!" Donnie exclaimed, and Y/N shook his head at their adoptive brothers claims. "But I can't," Y/N says while keeping his eyes on the film, "that's why I said 'could." Donnie says, "Y/N could easily build his own life; instead, they live with us like they owe us something." Raph mocks them.

Y/N takes a deep breath and ignores Raph being annoying to them: "He doesn't understand at all; if only it was that easy to just build my own life." Y/N thought that just the idea of being able to simply enroll in high school makes their heart sink, as they couldn't enroll when they grew up with their kind of family.

"Ahem, ok, let's get home," Leo says. He pats Y/N's backpack and signals them to follow him. They glance back at the movie as they wanted to finish it now that they watched it, but they decided to follow him. The teens get to a dark alleyway, and Leo, along with Donnie, lifts up the manhole cover.

Leo is the first to enter inside, and the group all take one last look at the human world, and everyone's felt their happiness get drained away. "Guys, let's go," Leo says. Y/N enters in second, and Raph, Donnie, and Mikey all enter soon after. As they walked down the gloomy tunnels of the sewers, Y/N felt the most lonely in this world out of all their brothers.

Later....

After the group successfully made it back to their home, Leo is the first to speak after a long period of silence. Ok, everybody, be quiet," he whispered, and Donnie whispered him. Y/N sighs as the boys start bickering quietly about being silent. As they walk around the living room silently, a splinter lights up the room. "Kids! Where Have You Been?" Splinter exclaimed.
