For New Years, Tony had invited Peter's aunt to celebrate with them. This meant that Eleanor and James would be meeting Peter's Aunt May for the first time. Eleanor was nervous, because Aunt May was Peter's guardian. If the woman didn't like her, Peter may not be allowed to see her and James anymore.

Pepper and Eleanor spent hours getting the food and stuff together for the small "party" they were throwing. They were having pizza, chips and dip, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, mini sandwiches, pizza rolls, fruits and veggies with dips, and candy. It was a lot of food, but everyone was staying up until midnight and hanging out, so it was the perfect amount of food.

Pepper had picked up a lot of sodas and juices, but she also picked up alcohol. Tony, Pepper, Rhodey, Happy, and Aunt May would be drinking. Peter, Eleanor, and James would get juice and soda. Well, James would get to try different juices, he was not getting soda until he was a little older. Eleanor didn't want the soda to upset the little boy's stomach.

"Are we putting on New Year's Rockin' Eve, or are we going to just put on our own music and hang out for hours?" Eleanor asked, as she took a strawberry from the tray.

"I was gonna set up a playlist for--" Tony began, but Eleanor cut him off.

"I'll do it!" She exclaimed, and he raised his eyebrow at her skeptically.

"We're not talking boybands and pop singers are we?" He questioned, making her laugh.

"Oh Tony, you've got no faith in me." She commented, before she grabbed her phone to start a playlist.

She had almost eight hundred songs added within an hour, and she used his tablet to put the playlist on all the speakers in the building. The first song to come on was Everywhere I Go by Hollywood Undead. She almost instantly started singing, and Pepper simply shook her head at the girl with a laugh.

"Y'know, one of these days I'm going to take you to see them in concert." Tony said, knowing how much Eleanor loved Hollywood Undead, as well as plenty of other groups and artists.

She had gotten to listen to almost ten songs before Peter arrived with his Aunt May. Eleanor felt nerves building in her belly, but she tried her best to hide it. Pepper squeezed her shoulder in support, and she gave the woman a smile. Moments later, Peter walked into the room with Aunt May.

"This is Ms. Potts, she's Mr. Stark's girlfriend." Peter said, as he motioned to Pepper.

He had Introduced Rhodey and Happy to her when they followed Tony to greet Peter and Aunt May. Just from looking at them, Eleanor had a feeling that Happy was kind of crushing on Aunt May.

"And this is my girlfriend, Eleanor Rogers," Peter motioned to Eleanor,"and her son, James." He added, motioning to the little boy in the high chair eating cut up grapes.

"Nice to meet you, Eleanor," Aunt May said with a smile,"Peter has told me so much about you and your little boy, and might I add, James is absolutely adorable."

"Thank you," Eleanor replied,"and Peter spoke highly of you as well." She added, making the woman smile again.

When James realized he wasn't getting enough attention from his mom and Peter, he slammed his hands on the top of the high chair. They both looked over and he laughed. Aunt May waved at him, and he cheekily smiled and waved back at her. A moment later, he pointed to the juice that was sitting on the counter near the grapes.

"You want grape juice, Jamesie?" Eleanor asked, and the little boy nodded.

"I'll get it." Peter commented, as he went to the cabinet to grab a sippy cup.

Peter poured a bit of grape juice into the sippy cup, but he also added a little water like Eleanor usually did. It was their way of making the juice less strong for James. They didn't want it making him sick because it was too strong or too sweet. Once the grape juice was ready, Peter placed the sippy cup in front of James.

"Say 'thank you Peter.'" Eleanor cooed at James, and James simply picked the sippy cup up and brought it to his mouth.

"It's going to be a while before he says thank you, Ellie. I doubt he'll really talk much at all." Peter commented, and Eleanor rolled her eyes.

"You have to encourage him, Pete. He'll say words he hears more." She replied, causing him to chuckle.

"Well, if he stays around Tony too much he'll be saying--" Peter was cut off by James.

"Dada!" James yelled, causing eyes to go wide.

"I did not teach him that." Tony said, shaking his head immediately.

"Dada!" James called out, as he held his arms out to Peter.

"Well, you did say you liked being a dad. I guess James likes you, too." Aunt May joked, though her heart had swelled when James called Peter 'Dada.'

"You don't even need a resolution this year, you're a dad!" Tony exclaimed jokingly, and everyone laughed.

Honestly, they hadn't expected James to call Peter 'Dada.' Eleanor hadn't thought that the two had gotten so close so fast. She was still happy though, that Peter was so happy to be his father, and that her little boy now had a father. She really believed for the longest time that James would grow up without one, and that destroyed her.

A few hours later, the clock hit midnight and Peter and Eleanor shared a kiss. They were so happy with how the day turned out. To be honest, Eleanor believed the day turned out better than she ever thought it would. She and Aunt May got along so well, and she honestly seen herself becoming good friends with the woman. It was honestly a pretty great party, and everyone had a good time...
