As Sanemi continued to search for Kanae, a sense of dread began to overcome him. He knew that something was wrong, and he felt like he was running out of time. He tried to remain hopeful, but as the hours passed and there was still no sign of her, he knew that he needed to prepare for the worst.
Just as he was starting to lose hope, Sanemi heard footsteps approaching him. He turned to see a group of demon hunters, including his mentor, approaching him. They looked grave, and Sanemi's heart sank even more. He knew that something was wrong, and he was not prepared for the news that was coming.
One of the demon hunters spoke up, "Sanemi, we have some bad news. Kanae was on a mission today, and she was killed."
Sanemi felt like the wind had been knocked out of him. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His whole world shattered around him, and he felt like he was in a dream. How could this be happening? He had been so sure that they had a future together, a happy life filled with love and adventure. But now it was all gone, taken away in the blink of an eye.
Sanemi fell to his knees, his vision blurred by tears. He felt like he couldn't breathe, like the world was spinning around him. He had never felt so much pain, so much loss, in his entire life...
