Dear Ardere,

There's something romantic about death. To die for the one you wish to live with is the ultimate betrayal to love and the ultimate tribute to aphrodite. The sacrifice one makes in love to be with the one they love ends up costing their own life. If this isn't a mockery of puniness of humanity, then what is?

We are characters of a theatre existing merely to entertain the demiurge. He writes the story that muses him. If something becomes too happy, it bores him. He creates conflict in our lives to laugh about. Maybe he boasts about his stories to other deities. We are nothing but a subject of his gossip.

An incident has completely shaken the foundation of my life and I find myself gravitating away from you. The dreadful feeling that haunts me to not be a part of your life is accompanied by a soothing touch of joy in knowing that you will be happy with no regards for my happiness.

That is what I ultimately wish for. Your happiness.

Love,
Asura
