When Honey  woke up hours later,  the Pug was gone. Instead there were horrible painful tugs as Honey's tress o matic  ruthlessly pulled her curls into half a dozen Dutch braids. Mother must have still been annoyed. She only ever set the Android on Dutch braid mode when she was in a terrible mood.

Massaging her sore head, Honey walked to the bedroom window and glanced about briefly, searching for Pug

Massaging her sore head, Honey walked to the bedroom window and glanced about briefly, searching for Pug.
Nothing.
With a small sigh, Honey glanced down and then on her floor three times, causing her wardrobe to slide up again, revealing her freshly pressed school uniform.

Honey, like most of the teenagers in the village, attended Saint Lillibet's. It was a school that was created and run entirely by the Mill family for kids of the Century Bronze credit class, of which the Bun family had been members for generations.

The credit class system had existed since the mid twentieth century, and everything depended on it, from schools, to future careers, to even the moons that people chose to live on. The school itself only really existed in order to train new generations of servants for the Mill family's many properties across the galaxy. Most of the time, Honey's courses consisted of obscure things such as vacation planning and rare gift hunting. Normally it was fine, and normally she never thought of it at all.
But today, she stared at her uniform, considering briefly what would happen if she didn't put it on. What if she refused to slip on her grey pinafore and matching school tie? What if she left her crisp white blouse on the floor? What if she didn't show up at all?
Well, sooner or later she would have to grow up, and if she didn't go to school, she wouldn't have enough educational credits to get a job for the Mill estate. This would of course lead to a future where Honey wouldn't be able to move into her own small apartment that she could decorate in shades of copper and magenta. Her own apartment with bright windows and a soft reading couch, not the hard ones that Mother preferred because they were 'better for your posture'.
Honey sighed to herself and walked into her bathroom. She pulled off her drab pyjamas and stood in her cleaning pod. Once she was done, she sighed, changed into her crisp uniform and clumped down the stairs.
