"I could make you your own robot, one made of rose gold with amber eyes," Pepper replied, placing a hand on Honey's shoulder.

"I don't want a robot, I want information," Honey replied, shrugging his hand off.
"That's hardly surprising, I'm very intelligent," he said as she rolled her eyes. "What do you want to know about? The history of the Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood? Or how to trick your parents into letting you dress like a teenager instead of a farm girl?"
Instinctively, she wanted to defend the dress she hated and the mother who drove her crazy, but instead, she pressed on.
"I want to know about animal conspiracies and rich people, in particular animal conspiracies and dogs," Honey said, and Pepper's faintly superior expression vanished as his eyes widened with surprise.

That was enough to snap her back into reality.
"You're the one who insisted on coming up here!" Honey snapped back. "And your mothers are the ones who insist on real rain for all their plants every Sunday night."
"Ugh that's Mother One, she has this barbaric idea that genuine rain makes roses happy," Pepper growled.
The rain started to calm down, eventually stopping altogether. He sighed with relief and flung off his soaking wet coat, folding his arms across his chest and shivering. His teeth started to chatter.
