It had been a couple days since the Hosu incident. The police had decided that as the first hero to appear, that Endeavor would get the credit for taking down the Hero Killer. Now, Izuku was working out in his room while waiting for school to start back up.
While the internships had ended, the school wanted to give the students time to heal from any injuries from their internships. Suddenly, there was a knock on his door.
Izuku: "Come in!"
The doorknob twisted and the door opened to reveal it was Anan. Izuku stood up from the push-up position he was in as Anan closed the door.
Izuku: "Anan! I didn't expect you to visit so soon!"
She walked over to him.
Izuku: "Anan?"
She smiled before leaning down and giving him a kiss.
Anan: "I love you Izuku."
Izuku: "I love you too! What's going on?"
Anan: "Nothing really, I just wanted to come spend time with you."
She sat on his bed and patted beside her. Izuku sat down next to her.
Izuku: "Um, Anan?"
Anan: "What's up?"
Izuku: "I'm sorry our date didn't go the way we wanted."
She leaned to her side and rested her head on his shoulder.
Anan: "It's okay Izuku."
She grabbed his hand.
Anan: "As long as we're happy, then I don't really care how it went. We'll have more dates after all."
Izuku: "I know, but that was our first, MY first."
She gripped his hand tighter.
Anan: "Well, considering we didn't finish it, we still have to go on a complete first date."
Izuku chuckled.
Izuku: "I guess so. Maybe after school starts back up though."
Anan: "Sure thing Izuku."
Another knock came to Izuku's door.
Inko: *Loudly* "Izuku! You should come see this!"
Izuku: *Loudly* "What is it?"
Inko: *Loudly* "It's from your father!"
Anan let his hand go and sat up straight, allowing him to shoot up from where he was sitting.
Izuku: "From dad?"
She stood up next to him.
Anan: "What are you waiting for? Go."
Izuku smiled and nodded before running out of the room with Anan close behind. They soon reached the living room where Inko was sitting with a large box next to her.
Izuku: "Do you know what it is?"
Inko shook her head.
Inko: "All I know is that this is the surprise he was making for you. Go ahead, open it."
He sat down on the couch and opened the box, finding two more inside. One took up most of the box, it was just 2 inches shorter than the outer box. On top of the big box was a small one, it fit the dimensions of the outer box, but was only and inch tall. On top of both, was a letter that he read out loud.
Izuku: "'Dear, Izuku. I hope you are having a good time at UA. Know that I watched the Sports Festival and while you did come in last place in the only event that happened, that I am so very proud of you. Within these two boxes are support items that me and a close friend designed specifically for you. I have written descriptions of them both and placed them with the respective items. I hope they aid you greatly. Love, Your Father.'"
Izuku: "Support items?"
Inko: "Yes. Your father has many connections in America, both due to his job and the fact that he went to school with many of them when he was younger."
Izuku: "Wow. I can't wait to thank him in person!"
Anan placed her hand on his shoulder.
Anan: "Open them Izuku. I'm sure they're great."
Izuku nodded and grabbed the smaller box first. He opened it to reveal eight separate kunai shaped throwing knives.

On top of them, was the manual and Hisashi's description. Izuku read it out loud.
Izuku: "'Izuku, these are what I like to call, pulse blades. These throwing knives have been designed to mimic your scans. While they don't show up in your vision normally, they are compatible with many different HUD systems. They have precise trackers on them and will show up on HUDs so you shouldn't have to worry about losing them.'"
Anan: "So a long range scan?"
Izuku: "Seems like it."
He picked up one of the blades.
Izuku: "Though it looks like my costume will need an upgrade before I can use them."
Anan: "I can help send something in. It won't be done instantly, but it'll be done quicker than if you did it when UA opens back up."
Izuku looked up and smiled.
Izuku: "Thanks Anan."
She smiled back and patted his shoulder.
Anan: "What about the other one?"
Izuku: "Oh, right!"
He put the blade he picked up back with the others and turned his attention to the bigger box. He opened it to reveal styrofoam blocks. He pulled out the first one and got a glimpse of what was inside. Getting more excited, he pulled out a large, robotic bird and the description letter.

Izuku: "'This is what made this surprise take so long. This is the Augmented Recon Transportable User-friendly Raven, or ARTUR for short. It is able to fly both autonomously or by remote control. It's vision can be viewed on many different HUD systems. If the HUD it's connected to is taken offline or stops transmitting to it, it's programmed to return to a home base. It also has some miniature flares and a single stun grenade to ward off attacks. Enjoy.'"
Inko: "A robot bird. Well it's not the weirdest thing he's made, that's for sure."
Izuku smiled widely. With these new items, he now stood on equal footing with his classmates. Now he just needed a better costume to use them.
