It had been many hours, including several instances where they had to get into a different helicopter, but eventually, Izuku, Bakugo, and Blisk arrived at their destination. Both Izuku and Bakugo were adjusting their gear as they stepped off.

Izuku: "Where are we?"

He and Bakugo looked around to see they had landed at what looked to be an old and repurposed military base.

Blisk: "We're standing on an old prototype of I-Island. It was made using an already existing island and was supposed to be used as a mobile base of operations for ground troops. They couldn't get it to move though so they scrapped it and the U.S. sold it to the highest bidder, us."

Bakugo scoffed.

Bakugo: "And you're content using a half baked idea as your main headquarters?"

Blisk let out a laugh.

Blisk: "Oh, this place isn't for me or any of the Apex Predators. It's for a smaller faction, the one you'll be a part of!"

Izuku and Bakugo looked at him with cautious curiosity.

Blisk: "Starting today, you two will be the newest members of the Apex Legends!"

Izuku: "And what about Anan?"

Blisk: "Oh, Thirteen? She'll be joining you once she's healed. Took a lot of force to keep her down."

Izuku clenched his fists but quickly calmed himself down. Violence wasn't going to get him anywhere here.

Izuku: "Take us where you want us."

Blisk: "Straight to the point, eh? Alright, follow me."

He led them towards the base and over to the front gate which was guarded by soldiers wearing white uniforms with the Apex Predator skull patch on their shoulders. They stepped aside as the gate opened to reveal the entirety of the base. The two boys could see architectural similarities with I-Island, especially with the fact it looked more like a city than a military base, though it was clear the area had some kind of military intent.

Blisk: "Welcome to your new home for the foreseeable future!"

Bakugo: "Give us maps and tell us where to go."

Blisk waved his finger.

Blisk: "Can't risk you two going rogue on m-"

Izuku: "Stop with the caution. You have snipers trained on us right now and neither of us are actually faster than bullets."

Blisk smiled, he was impressed.

Blisk: "Good instincts. Fine, we'll do it your way."

Blisk tossed his knowledge upto experience, but his the blood seeping through Izuku's gloves let Bakugo know he was angry. Angry enough to see in shades of red and see people clear as day even with his eyes closed.

Blisk grabbed to little pamphlets from a soldier and held them out.

Blisk: "Cute, right? Printed just for newcomers like you."

Bakugo snatched them, grabbed Izuku by the arm, and dragged him away.

Blisk: *Loudly* "Building C, fifth floor!"

Bakugo flipped him off he they walked away. After they were around a corner, he stopped, turned around, and took Izuku's helmet off. His friend looked read to run back and murder Blisk where he stood. So he slapped him.

Bakugo: "Snap out of it. We need to keep moving."

He grabbed Izuku by both arms and watched as Izuku took in a deep breath and then exhaled.

Izuku: "Right."

He still looked furious, but he was a bit calmer.

Izuku: "Sorry, his voice is insufferable."

Bakugo snickered.

Bakugo: "You're right there. Come on."

Izuku nodded and they started walking again. Bakugo took a look at one of the maps and led the way to building C. It looked to be an apartment building, though the first floor was completely empty, minus the dust covered lobby. Nobody used the first floor it seemed. They entered the stairwell, both agreeing that the elevator might just be a death trap. They would be proven right once they reached the fifth floor and noticed a green gas emanating from the elevator doors.

Bakugo: "Yeesh. Probably one of our new co-workers."

Izuku: "I don't want to run into him."

The floor looked like any regular apartment building, except for the fact that the spaces between each door was much larger than normal hinting towards significantly larger apartments. Both boys walked into the hallway and took note of the first door on the right and instead if a number, saw a name, Williams. Across from that room was another labeled, Fitzroy.

Izuku: "Guess we gotta find some with our names on them."

Bakugo: "At least we know what floor we'll be on."

They continued walking, looking for their apartments while going past several others. One had green gas coming from the bottom and was labeled, Nox while another labeled, Witt, had what sounded like a man hyping himself up. After a few minutes they come across theirs and Anan's, though hers had a sign hung on it.

Izuku: "Recovering From Game Injury."

Bakugo: "Guess that means she's resting. I'm going in mine, check on her if you want."

Izuku heard Bakugo open and close his door. He stared at Anan's doorknob, wondering if he should open the door.

Izuku: "She's hurt, she needs the rest. But I want to see her. I need to know if she's okay, but I don't want to wake her."

He turned around to walk away but stopped.

Izuku: "She wouldn't make me wait to see her again if I was hurt. She needs to know that I'm okay too."

He turned around, twisted the doorknob, and swung the door open. It looked like a regular apartment, but then again it wasn't like she could have decorated. He walked in and closed the door, locking it behind him. He walked further inside and found that it was triple the size of his and his mom's apartment. He heard what sounded like a TV somewhere further inside and moved to find it, coming up to a door. He took a deep breath and opened the door.

Laying on the bed was Anan, who was looking him in the eyes. She looked fine minus the braces around her torso and left leg. Neither of them spoke as Izuku ran over and wrapped his arms around her, crying into her shoulder.

Izuku: *Yelling* "ANAN!"

Anan: "I-Izuku?"

He sniffles and nodded.

Izuku: "It's me. I'm here."

She immediately hugged him back, also crying.

Anan: "You idiot."

They were now reunited, but it took Izuku and Bakugo accepting Blisk's invitation to do it. None of them knew what Blisk had in mind, but neither Izuku or Anan cared, as long as both were safe, it was worth it to them.
