CHAPTER 23: DANCING AND SINGING

Dylan and Kiara passed in front of Rosa as she was the first in line and Kiara was the last one. Rose scoffed while they passed she didn't see why an ugly female even participated as she covered her face with a shawl.

"Sorry for the wait, now let's start with representing the females"

"My female name is Rosa" a loud voice spoke with confidence and a smirk on his face.

"My female name is Juliet"

After a while it was Kiara turns, she regretted her decision of being here. If she could, she would have run back straight to the house and hide inside the closet, but she couldn't because Dylan was holding her waist in a possessive manner.

"My female name is Kiara, she is shy to show her face"

Dylan said with much authority, but some spectators didn't really believe they thought she was just ugly. However Owen and Xavier were watching Kiara with admiration, mainly Owen. Xavier's eyes were deeply entrenched from her cute face even though it was hidden in the shawls he saw her face. She was cute with those little pouty lips.

He wanted her, so for him this was a perfect chance no matter what she did, he would choose her over anyone.

The beauty contest started with Rosa's dancing. She stood at the centre of an open space. Her movements were tentative at first with her feet shuffling with uncertainty, trying to find their rhythm. Her arms rose gracefully, and she tentatively spun, her skirt billowing around her, and a smile of sheer delight bloomed on her lips. Her steps grew bolder, with more daring spins. The once hushed arena , now resonated with the sound of her footsteps and the soft rustle of her dress....

As soon as she finished the audience started to clap and whistle, for her amazing performance, but that was to be expected she was after all the King's wolf spoiled daughter, she lacked nothing.

Bit by bit everyone started to show off one of their skills that they were capable of. This ranged from dancing to singing local songs to knitting. until it was Kiara's turn, now she definitely was regretting and even took a step back when her name was called out, but Dylan held her tightly. Owen laughed looking at the situation. It was like watching a mum pushing her daughter to go and talk to their relatives. Xavier was also amused by the situation and couldn't help but laugh.

Kiara walked nervously to the centre receiving all the attention from the audience. She stood there for about a minute and took deep breaths.

<com on Kiara you are not a coward, just imagine they are vegetables. Yes just vegetables> Kiara closed her eyes not that anyone could see.

Soft melody danced on her lips, guided by the gentle notes that escaped from her parted lips. Her humming was a delicate, enchanting sound. The tune ebbed and flowed, a soothing rhythm that wrapped around the arena, infusing it with a sense of tranquillity. Her fingers lightly traced patterns on the surface before her and occasionally, a small smile would grace her lips, a testament to the joy that the simple act of humming brought her. In that moment, the arena was filled not only with the sweet melody she hummed but also with the serenity that radiated from her presence.

Everyone felt calm and relaxed, in fact too relaxed that they didn't notice that she had finished. Including Owen, Dylan and Xavier not to mention all the females in particular Rosa she was fuming, she could not stand that Kiara made the audience speechless more than she did.

When they came back from their senses they applauded loudly and cheered for her. Kiara ran back to Dylan and hid her on his abs, her face was red like a tomato.

"You did fabulous"

Dylan whispered, in which Kiara only nodded.

"Alright, alright, all the contestants showed their priceless skill, and now it's time for the eating contest".

This was problematic for Kiara, although she loved to eat, she couldn't eat a large quantity of meat, her stomach did not sign up for it.

"Don't worry I talked to them, and they will bring fruits for you".
